That double standard is an endless puzzle, the same side claims both 'hardest decision a woman EVER has to make!' but likens the baby to a. a tumor, b. a parasite/tapeworm, c. an appendix, d. a clump of cells, none of which any woman would be wracked with anything about deciding to have it removed, none of which would ever be summed up 'hardest decision ever made!' You seem to be unaware of the difference between something which is obviously not "a little baby" or a "person" yet, and its potential to be one. A mother to be does not mourn something which is not, but what it was to be. Very often, a woman would love a child but for various reasons now is not the time. It is the Lifer who typically bewails the loss of "little children" when a small amount of mucoid material is brought out. This is clearly wrong and no one says this. Even a clump of aborted cells are alive. So this is a strawman. None, but this argument is rather absurd, a false comparison and ultimately something of a irrelevance. A dog whistle and misrepresentation in one. The vast majority of abortions happen in the first few weeks of a pregnancy, when there is no "little baby" to "chop up". Very late term terminations are either illegal, or done in dire medical circumstances. Then I am sure you can show this by example but as per usual, you won't. Most pro-choicers simply want women to have control over their own bodies, and not to be dictated to on (often) theological grounds, within sensible legal limits. actually they are: you are over 40. your body mass index (BMI) is above 30 – use the BMI healthy weight calculator to work out your BMI. you previously had a baby who weighed 4.5kg (10lb) or more at birth. you had gestational diabetes in a previous pregnancy. 1 of your parents or siblings has diabetes. The point here would be how the risk factors of diabetes can affect a pregnancy, not that they also, duh, affect other people. That the risks would justify a termination is unlikely. I am not sure if this means that you think that terminations are agreed just on the basis of the mother being a smoker. But this is not the case. You are right about the 2 most common causes. But please substantiate where people "blame the babies". Who ever said this? Unless you are arguing against terminations to save the life of the mother (which even some of the most strict jurisdictions allow). Another irrelevancy. However the advances in medical science certainly mean that maternal care in general and gynaecology is particular is safer today than ever before. These claims seem purely anecdotal without any substantiation, as usual, unfortunately. The only science in connection with the abortion debate (apart from that which identifies a threat to a mother's life if full term is reached , or the brain death of a foetus etc) is gynaecology, which is morally neutral. In so far as intelligence goes, this has been covered before - when it was shown that the educational level of fundamentalists, for instance, is lower than the rest of the population. Is that what you mean? Where did you get your degree from?

it certainly doesn't explain why it's such a hard choice to have them removed, let alone "the sorrow that surrounds the decision and its aftermath." I am not sure what this refers to, neither is that quote mine, and moreover is unrecognised by Google - and so could well be a strawman. It's usually a good idea to read posts before liking them... imdb2.freeforums.net/post/6080194/threadHave fun, but don't get dizzy.

And it was still not a quote of mine. I liked that post btw since I agree with the idea that an abortion can be a sorrowful affair for everyone concerned, although there is no reason why a aborting mother might also be pleased to be rid of things. But, as explained just before (and I'd suggest that on reflection many mothers would agree with me) any sorrow would be around the loss of the potential inherent in a mass of removed mucoid cells, and not in losing "a little baby", when at that stage it cannot be sensibly identified as such. Please bear in mind how I explained it last time, and very helpfully again above. But it is best not to so sorely tempt people with offers like this lol.

It seems you missed the part about using contraception to preclude that "potential inherent." I hope that wasn't too many words for you to retain.

I never said it was a quote of yours. And I never said you did. And what has that to do with what I have been saying? Was that when Amy said "I was on the Pill at the time, and it was a rare instance of its having failed" ? I would be the first to assert that contraception is preferable to abortion. Has anyone called you a moron yet? I remember you have been inviting it.

Yet everybody turns a blind eye to the majority of unplanned pregnancies that didn't bother using any contraceptives and just refusing to acknowledge it other than to say 'meh, women's choice'. Yeah, they MADE their choice when they had unprotected sex. That's the whole point.

Let’s go to the end of that nonsense of yours. Bla bla bla choice made. Then, of course, abortion takes place. Oh. Scandal ! N6 is fuming ! BUT, n6 doesn’t call the police ! How Come n6 does not call the police? Because IT IS LEGAL , THAT IS THE EXPRESSION OF THE GENERAL WILL AND NOT N6 will ! You want it to change, get elected first.

Has anyone called you a moron yet? I remember you have been inviting it. But I beg to differ. When I looked up the public health code, I noted that the text is about to get problematic, because of the abortive Pill. It is a way of aborting a gestation. But it’s a Pill. It can be taken without the actual detection of the beginning of a gestational process, the day after . In that occurence, it is contraception. The lawmakers took that into account, for providing abortion without credential is an offense, sending abortion kit through postal service included, but the aborting pill is not included.

There's a difference in the abortion pill and the morning after pill. Plan B is only effective for up to 72 hours after sex, most effective in the first 24, the abortion pill, which people tend to forget has an entirely different name, isn't even applicable until several weeks along when there's an actual pregnancy.

I hate as much as the other female poster to tell about myself, but practically, how can you tell ? You/ I went to your physician day after. She wrote a prescription. Out of the drugstore you get a box of pills. You need one. You use it. What prevents you from using the others another time ? I did not. But others ? Btw, had to go to the physician to take care about bruises. The pill was the cherry on the cake of mud. This took place in 1996. I still had the box untill the end of last year. Content untouched, save for one single pill.

Exactly how do you know that either a.) the majority of pregnancies are unplanned--which is what your badly worded post appears to state; or, b.) how you would know under what circumstances contraceptives were or were not used in the case of an unplanned pregnancy--as I assume you intended to say? As usual, I expect no actual stats to be given by you, just another heavy-breathing video. You do, however, reveal more about your own smutty mind getting all sweated and bothered over those nubile women having 'hawt, reckless SEX' (which I suspect is the part of this whole issue that really bugs the bejayzus out of you) than you impart any degree of useful insight as per the subject of unintended pregnancy and its aftermath. Not at all untypical of those who spend a good bit of their time belabored by dirty thoughts, alas.

No, the point is that, as already explained, none of the above is enough to suspend the reproductive rights of a woman no matter how the prurient might wish it so.

Doublespeak, reproductive rights implies actually reproducing. Just like putting 'parenthood' in a title implies actually having kids instead of just killing them.
Everybody has a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, all of which are easier when you have modern conveniences like AC, electricity, indoor plumbing, etc., but if you decide 'I'm just not gonna pay my bill, it's my money, I can do whatever I want with it!', then WHOSE fault is it when your utilities get cut off? What could've prevented having no water or lights for the month? Oh and how believable would somebody saying 'I didn't KNOW the bill was due every month, it catches me off guard every 30 days, I have NO idea it's coming!' be?

I didn't say the majority of pregnancies are unplanned, although if we went by how many people were married, had good jobs, good homes and enough money in the bank to afford their kids, yeah, most are not actually decided 'we have everything we need, let's conceive RIGHT NOW'.
What I said was most unplanned pregnancies didn't use protection, which was reported by the National Institute of Health, which said 52% didn't use protection, 43% used it incorrectly, and only 5% of unplanned pregnancies actually stem from failed protection.
So after 50+ years of sex ed. in schools, almost half of all the women who got pregnant despite not planning to, were ill informed of how contraceptives work. Like accidental shootings, that could be prevented with better education (but don't look for that to happen in the schools when they get $800B funding every year and churn out 2/3 of students who can't read and still pass many of them as straight A's and honor roll students), but there's zero excuse for any woman who cries she didn't WANT to get pregnant all the while she took zero precautions to prevent it. Again, nobody ever wonders HOW their dog got pregnant, and when people DON'T want to get stuck with litter after litter, they don't just abort the puppies, they take actual measures to ensure it CAN'T happen again. Funny how the same species of people who would get their dogs neutered, suddenly think pregnancy is impossible when the issue is human sperm meets human eggs, especially in an era where everybody is walking around with a computer in their pocket they can literally look up anything and everything on.

Doublespeak, reproductive rights implies actually reproducing. No need to imply when what they usually entail can be spelt out for you: "What are sexual and reproductive health and rights? Sexual and reproductive health and rights means the right for everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, HIV status or other aspects of identity, to make informed choices regarding their own sexuality and reproduction. It includes: the right to make informed choices about whether or when they have childrenthe right to access the full range of affordable and informed family planning services, including safe abortion the right to accurate information and services to prevent and treat sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV and AIDS, and sexual health information and education." www.actionaid.org.uk/our-work/vawg/sexual-reproductive-health-rights-women-and-girls#:~:text=It%20includes%3A,planning%20services%2C%20including%20safe%20abortion Please see earlier when I mentioned planned parenthood, which is more relevant here. QED. Stop moaning when they exercise these rights in ways you don't approve of.
