Hoeneß doesn't think Lewy's comments were that bad. Rummenigge and Hoeneß, the dream team. Beginning to wonder how long until Rummenigge throws the towel. Lewandowski wants to win the CL, and as you said: he is going to hit the 30, hence he has - if at all - only one more chance to change the club. Either they change the policy - there is an article that compares his interview with one of Lahm nine years ago that was also harshly citizised by the club, even fined with 50,000 Euros, but also change the policy - or he is already preparing his departure (the likes of Effenberg even demand that Bayern has to axe him). I guess Honeß put a more thoughts to it and realized Lewandowski's strategy - imho - and is more cautious than Rummenigge. At this stage, they won't find nobody for 40 million to replace Lewandowski and last year he was bitterly missed against Real. Actually, they needed a second forward who is in the league of Griezmann. Back then Lahm, or nowadays Lewandoski: they are right. And he actually said they need to be more "creative". And why did Rummenigge call for the end of the 50+1 rule? Because they know that they need extra cash from an investor. This, or falling behind. The Bundesliga has always been - over the last 50 years - the lowest league of the big four due the the most inept leadership. We were the last to establish a professional league. Back in 1978 the zero-brains of the DFB banned players like Beckenbauer because they weren't playing in the domestic league...*facepalm. But Bayern, the DFB, the German Michel is destined to fail, unwilling to change or embrace the future.

There's a big difference between Lahm and Lewandowski. Lahm cared for the club. Lewandowski only cares for himself. I have a feeling he regrets choosing Bayern over Real Madrid back then, and I think he knows Bayern won't let him leave anytime soon. He still has a contract until 2021, no chance they'll let him leave next summer (forget Effenberg, he's an idiot. The entire part about Werner borders on the ridiculous). If he's over 30, he'll be too old for RM - if he won't be too old next summer already.
About your Duo Infernale at the helm. I don't know anymore whether one doesn't say something just to antagonize the other. From the outside it looks like a power struggle between Kalle who wants to take the club forward, and Uli who wants to take the club backwards. What good came out of re-electing Hoeneß into power? It looks like all that's happened was to scare competent people away and put yes-men in their place. Do you think there's a chance those two re-establish a functioning work relationship? Or is it just a matter of time until one of the two resigns - if so, it'll probably be Kalle who gets tired of it first, and the club will be worse off for it.

Jesus Christ Köln are going to contest the result because VAR made a mistake with the second goal. Yes, surely without that mistake they would have won.

Honestly I'm getting the impression that since the DFL introduced VAR, there aren't less debates and controversial situations but more.

Neuer out again probably for months, with another injury to the same foot.
Don't get it... it's really not like he was rushed back into action. Very bad news for Bayern, not just because Ulreich isn't anywhere close to his level, but even more so because that team needs its captain.

Out until January, says the club. Dammit. Isn't that a good thing. Might give other teams a chance to keep up with BM.

If we can't get a point against either Northern Ireland or Azerbaijan without him, we don't deserve to qualify.

Didn't realise that he was out so long already. I could'nt give a feck but if BM drop points between now and Jan, Dortmund etc should be pleased.

The others should catch up by improving themselves, not because of Bayern running into trouble. Bayern are in enough trouble as it is. I'm not a fan, but I have sympathy for the club and I wish them no ill.
Missing Neuer is a bigger problem than just missing one of the world's best GK and having only an (injury-prone) Ulreich to replace him. Said it in the Ancelotti-thread / Rafa's podcast already. They lost Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Alsonso and also Matthias Sammer. Who is there now? Müller is more the fun guy, he's also not exactly calming things down at the moment, Hummels has been there only for a year and probably doesn't yet have that standing, Boateng has been injured for ages, and then other than that there is a weak sporting director.
Almost all the old integrative figures that kept the Me Incorporates in check are gone, Neuer is the only one left. Now he's out for the rest of the year. There's a power vacuum in the team, as Didi Hamann said on Sunday, and there's a power struggle between Hoeness and Rummenigge at the top level of the club. I don't like that development.
