the princes in the tower... what really happened with Anne Boleyn --- henry was seducing her sister [another lady in waiting for KofA] when she came along. what really happened between young Elizabeth [1] with Thomas Seymour [new husband to Catherine parr after henry died -- she took young Elizabeth in as a ward] an ACCURATE look at henry the viii while we're at it. not this 12 year old spindly little boy playing him in the Tudors. a miniseries of the drama that engulfed marie Antoinette. the year she had 178 dresses, the diamond necklace fiasco... the secret room in her bed chamber in the palace de Versailles [you can still see the 'door'!!!] with the false wall removed and the door open... with the false wall in place... hehehe...

A drama about the rise and fall of the DuMont Television Network could be interesting.
A biopic of Wernher von Braun could be interesting.
A comedy about the New Coke fiasco could be funny.

The thomas seymour story could be scandalous. How about one about that general who disappeared mysteriously, someone mentioned him in another thread i made.

You don't hear much about the Second Italo-Ethiopian War but it was a foreshadowingof the Axis' takeover of Europe in WW2 and some of the atrocities that were committed remain astonishing. It'd be a great excuse to make a grand scale war epic.

What events from previous times has Hollywood NOT gotten around to making movies about, that you think they should? Two books come to mind, The Boys Who Challenged Hitler by Knud Pedersen and Phillip Hoose, and The Klan Unmasked by Stetson Kennedy. And either one of these, I swear, they could just adapt it word for word, detail by detail, not have to change one single thing, not have to use dramatic license anywhere, and they would be big hits. How about a movie about Benazir Bhutto...?

Okay, how a bio of the Big Bopper...?
They already did a movie (& a musical, for that matter) about Buddy Holly, & they made one about Richie Valens, so why not complete the trio with one about the Bopper as well!!!!

...one that would jolt conscienceness would be a rendering of what could happen to the US (and the rest of the world) if the Yellowstone Caldera blew its top...a disaster waiting to happen...

A biopic of Wernher von Braun could be interesting.
Herr von Braun published his memoirs under the title "I Aim at the Stars". My father insisted it should've been called "I Aim at the Stars, but Sometimes I Hit London".

A biopic of Charles Lightoller would be interesting. Not only was he the renowned Second Officer aboard Titanic, he also distinguished himself in World War One by sinking a U Boot and in World War Two by sailing his yacht back and forth between England and the Dunkirk beaches to evacuate troops. Too bad the recent film didn't pay homage to him.

...the Dumont TV empire was mentioned in a previous post. Ironically, the CEO of Radio Broadcast History in Chicago is Bruce Dumont who is a direct descendent of the Dumont family.
