How about a film on project Manhigh? Experimental manned balloons, reaching the edge of space.
Yes, there's been at least two documentaries on the subject, but how about a drama film? I admit the audience for such a drama would be limited, but surely it would make for better viewing than a lot of the unnecessary remakes and sequels being produced these days.

They've made a film about the Mercury 7, a film about Apollo 13, even a film about black women working at NASA in the 1960s- yet a film about Apollo 11, that hasn't occured to anyone

A Movie about how Winifred Maxwell, Countess of Nithsdale in 1716 helped her husband William Maxwell, 5th Earl of Nithsdale escape the Tower of London just one day before he was going to be executed.
It's an incredible story and it's strange that it has never been fictionalised on television or film. Well apart from a 5 minute sketch on Horrible Histories.

Abolitionist John Brown. So much stuff there. Half mad lead character. Pottawatomie massacre. Harper's Ferry Raid. And a hanging at the end. Yeah, there was the 1940 Santa Fe Trail. As far as history, it was on a par with the Bugs Bunny film Napoleon Bunny-Part. I like this idea. After studying Kansas history for a year I was surprised more isn't ever said about John Brown, he was very influential. Good and bad. What are some actors you think could pull off the role of John Brown? Daniel Day Lewis comes to mind...
