Another characteristic of a Macguffin is that it cause the protagonist to pursue the object/goal/motivator with little or no narative or explanation. That is why there were many questions about why Diana wanted the photograph. That was a question in BvS, but that has been answered in Wonder Woman. That's the only photograph of Diana with Steve, Sameer, Charlie, and the Chief so it has sentimental value to her, especially after losing Steve and now that Steve, Sameer, and Charlie are all gone too. In the same fashion vibranium becomes the Macguffin since it can be found in large quantities in Wakanda, or that the Red Skull wanted the cosmic cube. Yep, those questions have never been answered so vibranium and the cosmic cube are true Macguffins. Yes, that question was answred. But it still was a plot device for the (two) stories so it was a Macguffin.

A MacGuffin is an object that ideally has no importance at all aside from everybody wanting it.
But this is getting off topic, which is that there is very little in WW that has the power to effect the DCU, and there are many things in First Avenger that had that power.
No, a Macguffin is a plot device that is coveted by numerous people. The nature of the device is immatreial to the story (i.e. it doesn't matter where it came from or how it came to be). Another characteristic of a Macguffin is that it cause the protagonist to pursue the object/goal/motivator with little or no narative or explanation. That is why there were many questions about why Diana wanted the photograph. In the same fashion vibranium becomes the Macguffin since it can be found in large quantities in Wakanda, or that the Red Skull wanted the cosmic cube. You'd got your definition wrong. I suggest you look it up again from a credible source. That's what I said.
However you're still getting distracted from the point, which was that there are far more plot elements to carry forward in First Avenger. Whether they are Macguffins or not had nothing to do with it, so I don't know how you got on this.

I honestly don’t see a reason why there needs to be anything further explored in 'Wonder Woman' in any of the upcoming DCEU movies ‘cause it already does its job by establishing an origin story for the character and sets up ‘Wonder Woman 2’ which will have a new villain and be set in a different time between ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Justice League.’ If there is any upcoming DCEU movie that’s going to lead to a ‘Civil War’ type of movie with multiple characters appearing in it then it will most likely be ‘The Batman’ ‘cause we already know Batgirl and Nightwing are established and Jason Todd is dead or believed to be and that sets him up to return as the Red Hood in one of the sequels. Tim Drake/Robin is also rumoured to debut in ‘Batgirl’ along with Black Canary who was in the comic book series ‘Batgirl’ is being based on and the Bat Universe sets up something no Marvel character’s movie can do with the Bat Family and lead to Birds of Prey and Titans which opens the doors for Black Canary, the Huntress, Starfire and Raven movies, Batwoman, Red Hood and the Outlaws movies which opens the doors for Green Arrow and the Spoiler, Orphan and Bluebird all appearing in the new Batman Trilogy. Let’s not forget we already have Suicide Squad and Gotham City Sirens in development and they are also part of the Bat-Universe.
The Bat Universe itself is WAY bigger than the MCU and they could easily turn around and make a movie of a big Bat Family team up event ‘Death of the Family’, ‘Court of Owls’ or ‘Eternal’ with Batgirl, Nightwing, the Spoiler, Red Robin, Orphan, Red Hood, Bluebird, Catwoman, Batwoman, Batwing, the Spectre etc all teaming up to clear Commissioner Gordon’s name and get control back over Gotham City.

Was it you that said WW won't pass Suicide Squad? No. I follow box office just out of curiosity but I don't make predictions too much or get that worried about it. Afterall Spidey 3 made the most of any Spidey film and there aren't many who consider that the best effort.
