Post any TV show from any time and suggest when you think it jumped the shark. Or any that you think they left the boat in dry dock.
Happy Days - You know when.
What do you have for us?

The Leftovers jumped the shark when the new cast was introduced in season 2.

Law and Order SVU jumped the shark when Elliot Stabler was written out of the show. I get my fix on Stabler episodes, but nothing newer.

Post any TV show from any time and suggest when you think it jumped the shark. Star Trek (1966) jumped the shark after Season 2 when Gene Roddenberry left. It's common knowledge that the worst episodes of the series are disproportionately in the third season. Hawaii Five-O (1968) is debatable. There's even an entire web page about it. The fan consensus seems to be that Season 9 was the last great season. I've seen most of Season 10, and overall it is synonymous with repetition and mediocrity, along with a complete lack of edgy stories . So I created my own Season 10 cover art. Babylon 5 (1994) is probably my favorite TV series of all time and the first season and the first half of the fifth season are undeniably the weakest parts. One could argue that the series jumped after the stellar fourth season. However, B5 was slated for cancellation and told by Warner Bros. to wrap it up in year four. As a result, creator/head writer/executive producer JMS accelerated the plot and they actually filmed the series finale during the Season 4 production run. The last half of Season 5 is great. However, one could go straight from Season 4's penultimate episode "Rising Star" to the Season 5 finale "Sleeping in Light" (the original production order) and not feel like you've missed much.

MacGyver jumped the shark when it kind of became The Richard Dean Anderson Concern Of The Week Show.

When Mulder left the X-Files. Oh, and also the entire reunion in 2016, that was terrible.

Oh, and also the entire reunion in 2016, that was terrible. That was embarrassing. Have you ever tried to watch old seasons though... kinda similiar. Television has come a long way.

Game Of Thrones rode the dragon just before the end of Season 5. Except for the little fact that S6 had two of the highest rated and best episodes in the history of television.

Sliders jumped the shark when they got a new executive producer who insisted on using movie plots for pretty much every episode. The show was just never the same after that, even when they got away from that format.

EDIT: My bad, Season 6 of GOT was good. Must have been tired when I typed this, I thought I was typing about The Walking Dead. Sorry.

I have to say it's hit or miss. Some episodes are just classic. Some are meh. I know I have a list of episodes somewhere, I just am not able to list them now (don't remember the names). One I just rewatched and agree it didn't quite live up to original thoughts. Home. It was the one with the inbred family. Much of it was very frightening, but Mulder and Scully at the end just acted out of character. Just didn't sit right with me for an episode that I had rated highly. There was another one, Ice, I think, that was as good as I remember. I watched Jose Chung, from Outer Space. Still awesome. And the Vampire episode with Luke Wilson is still one of my favorites. Can't remember the name.

When Mulder left the X-Files. Oh, and also the entire reunion in 2016, that was terrible. "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster" was highly entertaining. Darin Morgan wrote some of the best episodes of the show and is responsible for the best X-Files episode and in fact the best hour of episodic TV EVER. Jose Chung's From Outer Space.
You jumped the shark with your hyperbolic comment.
