Snoke Threatens to ‘Totally Destroy’ Resistance in First Galactic Senate Speech

CORUSCANT — Supreme Leader Snoke, in his first address to the Galactic Senate, derided Leia Organa Solo, the Resistance Leader, as a “Laser Woman” on Tuesday as the Supreme Leader warned that he may be forced to "totally destroy" the rogue group.
"If the righteous many do not confront the wicked few, then evil will triumph," Snoke said, as he detailed the horrors of what he called the "depraved" Resistance.
"Laser Woman is on a suicide mission," he said, using a nickname for Solo that refers to the Resistance Leader's recent weapons tests.
"The First Order has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy the Resistance."
The Resistance Ambassador to the Senate walked out before Snoke's speech started.
Snoke’s remarks to the Galactic body come amid sharply escalating tensions between the First Order and the Resistance. Both Snoke and General Hux have said all options are on the table for dealing with the threat from the Resistance.
While the First Order could take military action, Snoke urged the Senate to join together in curtailing Resistance efforts.
"We meet at a time of both immense promise and great peril," Snoke said, issuing a call to action.
"As Supreme Leader of the First Order, I will always put the Galaxy first," he said.
