I'm four episodes in and so far I'm LOVING it. I'll watch the next five tomorrow night but so far, this second season is as good, if not better, than the first season. What does everyone else think?

I've watched four episodes yesterday, and I'm really liking it so far. I'll check out the rest of the season today.

I just finished season 2. Just as good as the first season in my opinion.

Season 2 is not even half as good as some people claim it is.

Anyone who didn't care much for the first season watch it? Doesn't hurt to try it. It feels a bit different than the first season.

It feels a bit different than the first season.ย My main problem with s1 was that it felt a little too reliant on nostalgia. I saw the kids in those Ghostbusters outfits and almost immediately checked out, but maybe the rest of s2 isn't as annoyingly manipulative and derivative?

Just finished. It was excellent, maybe even better than the first season. S2 is to S1 what 'Aliens' was to 'Alien' or 'Empire' was to 'A New Hope'

Overall, it feels more original then the first season, which undeniably did rely heavily on nostalgia and took a lot of ideas from 'E.T.' It still has a lot of nostalgia, but a lot less than S1. Episode 2 is Halloween themed which is why the kids are in Ghostbuster uniforms. It does play the theme song at one point.

Binged it over the weekend and loved it. Equal to S1, if not slightly better. I thought it could have done without Chapter 7 "The Lost Sister", which was too long-winded for the amount it moved the story forward, but it really made up for that with the final two Chapters. I put S2 at 9/10.

Hopefully that's it, the last few episodes I struggled to watch it's running out of gas and it shows the show was a surprise hit don't milk it it's done now hopefully with a big hope.

You're probably right about it setting up a future storyline, and it did give Eleven a sort of "Yoda" in her sister, showing her how to harness her powers and use them more effectively...it just lost my interest after a while, and I wanted the story to get back to Hawkins.

Aside from 008 being one of the most freakily unattractive chicks I've ever seen I didn't like her character nor that entire episode. I really hope she doesn't have a main part in future episodes.

I enjoyed season 2, but i preferred season 1 overall, not that there was anything wrong with it, it just didn't draw me in as much as the first, but the acting and effects were still good, just maybe the story could have been a little better
Will played more of a role i guess, but in the end, he pretty much got sidelined again
Eleven only rejoining the group right at the end was a little disappointing, for me, i would have preferred an earlier reuninon
Max was a nice addition, although unless they carry on with these characters in any future seasons, i don't see the point in the older brother and the obvious abusive/controlling dad, so i wasn't that impressed by that addition, unless it does lead to something in the future, in which case, it does work as a decent setup for it
The Demidogs were disappointing, i would have preferred them to have done something a little better, rather than something like that, although i understand that they probably didn't just want to do the same as season 1, so they tried something else, but for me, the one monster from season 1, was a lot more interesting and scary than a pack of little dogs running around
I really liked Nancy in this season though, i wasn't a big fan in the first season, but she definitely improved as a character, i was still meh about Jonathan, he didn't really grow at all as a character, Steve was great and he definitely adapted well with the different characters he interacted with, very funny with Dustin and the other kids
So yeah, i liked it, but not quite as good as season 1 in my opinion
