some of you all are delusional. MCU characters are D listers Disney snuffed life off to make money through the appeal of a cinematic universe that has hurt MCU characters in the long run as they all lost any little identity they had. they are soulless co-operate products. Feige even know this. he always wanted xmen but settled for MCU . now that he has his hands on xmen he is like a vampire in a blood bank. he could care less about MCU now. what a nutcase. this guy has been gushing about how he cant wait to get his hands on xmen. he never talks passionately that way with MCU. there is no throne to take back since marvel died somewhere around 2011. its just Disney trash now pretending to be marvel ask any life long marvel fan not you mcu fans. Reason DC is killing marvel right now in comics, animations, games and more and even movies if we take into account wonder woman and the TDK trilogy (still new) that MCU has yet to match and surpass. X-Men matched with Logan this year . its will be insulting to see xmen sitting on a Disney throne when disney cannot even produce movies like Logan and DOFP or make cartoons like XMen TAS, X-Men evolution or hire writers like Claremont, Lodbell and Frank Miller to give other marvel proprieties the amount of authentic timeless comic book literacy that X-men has, surpassed maybe only by Batman's literacy. Let MCU sit on the Disney comedy throne that no deep-thinking person takes seriously or see as real art. just keep xmen away, it will be helpful Seriously, though, you ask anybody who Cyclops is I bet nobody would know. You'd have to say he was leader of the X-men and what his powers are for them to even be remotely close to knowing who he is. Now, ask that same person who Iron Man is and I bet they would know. The X-men, as a whole, were A-listers. They were no where near A-listers individually. Except for Wolverine. And that's only because Wolverine was everywhere in the 90s. People only know Mystique now because of Jennifer Lawrence. Yeah, X-men is so deep thinking that people put it deep into their brains so far back that they forget about it. It's funny that you keep mentioning the X-men movies that made money. They finally make movies that people like and you latch on to it. Just like DC-Fan with Wonder Woman. I've actually seen people be surprised that Logan came out this year. Keep X-men away? And let who have it? Fox is not going to be a thing any way you look at it. Would you rather have Paramount have them and have X-men movies made by Michael Bay? X-men movies that are like Transformers movies? Full of racial stereotypes? Or even worse: TMNT? Did anyone know who iron man was before movies? No. Does anyone know him outside of movies? No. Will the character be z list again when rdj is done? yes. Is this like when mcu fans says tony stark is the smartest marvel character and life long marvel fans and the lame stream media said, sorry that honour goes to Reed Richards and people do know this after all many people born in the 40s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s are still very much alive and know a lot about marvel without any movie from disney, fox or sony? That's revisionist history, X-Men didn't even get good until the 1970s. All of their characters working together is what built Marvel. They know what he looks like, maybe. Character wise no one really cared. A small minority, unfortunately. Yes, and now he'll endure better because Marvel treats the rest of their characters better since they realized that relying too much on the X-Men was bad. There are several "Super Genius" Marvel characters. Tony is one of them. If you read the comics you'd know this. No, the way it presents itself is pretty shallow. No they weren't. Homecoming and Ragnarok. Defenders and Runaways. And Agents of Shield. Nah, that's the go-to excuse for people who are stuck in the past. Nah, just pretentiousness and self-importance. Partially right. Marvel actually made most of their B listers bigger than Fox's X-men. The X-men will be the B listers in Marvel at this point. The X-men could take back their throne now that they are with a studio that can make the most of a character's potential. The MCU characters WERE B listers. That's prior to 2008. Now they are A listers where kids wear Iron Man, Thor, Cap, and Hulk costumes on Halloween. And the box office doesn't lie no matter how you try to dismiss it as if it doesn't matter. Logan was really good...but still didn't equal what Iron Man, Cap, and Thor movies currently make. There is a 250 million ceiling on Fox X-men movie they can't break through. The MCU is the top tier of CBMs at the moment. That's just how it is. MCU movies took the top 3 spots at the box office this year...and they did that with a GotG movie and a Thor movie. Logan...came in 6th (last place). The usual from Fox. They've always lagged behind the other studios. You claim Marvel died in 2011? Since then they have released: Avengers Winter Soldier GotG Civil War GotG 2 Spider-Man Homecoming Thor 3 That's not even counting Dr Strange and Ant-Man...which other people love more than I do. The funny thing about putting up videos of John Landis not liking the Marvel movies is that his son Max Landis makes crappy movies. John defends his son's crappy movies by going against the competition. They are savaging Bright right now. American Ultra was a crappy Jason Bourne wannabe. He'll probably say something about Black Panther because Bright has Will Smith as the lead and it's about racism, but his son is being accused of sexual assault at the moment... So maybe not.

Logan outclassed GOTG 2, Thor 3 and Homecoming. Every year xmen had a movie out, mcu was made to look kind of dumb and generic, the facts don’t lie. but it did help the genre. Not mcu fans , reason they think DOFP is a rip off terminator 2 and think comics is about jokes and fun and cgi Not all animations are painful and cheesy just the mcu Disney xd stuff because unlike cartoons like xmen tas, spiderman tas or batman tas, the mcu cartoons today are not meant to appeal to grown ups too. Please watch a DC animation like under the redhood, is a better comic film than most mcu movies. Nolan is still new and DC has wonder woman and in all fairness gotg 2 is worse than justice league but got a pass because it is a mcu movie. |
