Synopsis: The super-fast hero the Flash travels into a timeline where Earth is a mess and its heroes are lost and scattered. It's up to him to put things right.
Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher are already rumored to be in it too. I'd also like to see some other JL members.
And even with this synopsis I don't think that's its intended as a re-boot for the DCEU. I just think its going to be a time travel story.
Could be good. Thoughts?

And my thoughts are: ugh. Why can't they just make one of these fun? The Flash is supposed to be the fun one, instead we're getting another of the darkest, bleakest stories DC has to offer.

Want spoilers for the original comic? Well I saw the animated movie and it was Wonder Woman and Aquaman who were the bad guys there. But Batman vs Superman had that scene with The Flash where he told Batman that he was right about Superman and something must have happened to Lois Lane. That had to be there for a reason. So I'm wondering if there's going to be an evil Superman in one of these movies.

Like I needed another reason to opt out of seeing Flashpoint. The animated film is a pretty close adaptation.

@weirdraptor
Well it sounds like it would be taken from the Injustice video game series where Superman turned evil after The Joker killed Lois Lane.

Don't you think we've gotten enough of menacing glowering Superman by now? People obviously aren't liking it, and besides that, is this really how you want people to picture Superman when they think of him?

Good, I been saying there no need for any kind of reboot. Just a simple Flashpoint story, that is it.

I don’t think we will ever see that future scene as a setting in a sequel though. So basically inthink we will get an evil Superman but temporarily. None of this would be in Flashpoint. That should be it’s own movie like the comic and animated.

It's not something that I would have been against had they portrayed the heroic Superman fully through Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman and Justice League and they not had that scene in the picture above. It'd be interesting I think.

People willl still view this as par for the course with our current Superman. I have a friend that's bummed because he doesn't feel like he can show his kids the new Superman and as stated before, I've overheard some kids at the supermarket state that they don't like Superman because he scares them. I'd be for this, too, if we already had a more heroic Superman as an alternative. And now they're planning Red Son, also while we don't have a more heroic Superman as an alternative. Its like the DCEU just hates him.

If he was portrayed as scary then it was probably intended from Batman's point of view.

We already have an animated adaptation that's pretty good. Unless they reset certain elements, what's the point?

He's got this permanently frozen frown on his face during his heroics that doesn't lend itself to making him SEEM like a great person. He is scary in BvS more so than in MoS.
