Hi everyone. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! Oh man, I rate 'Silent Night Deadly Night' as the best Christmas movie ever made, beadle! Just one movie for me this week ... --- --- 'Kids Go To The Woods... Kids Get Dead' (2009 - Michael Hall) Fumbling supernerd Scott (Andrew Waffenschmidt) tags along with his supercool sister Casey (Leah Rudick) and her friends Heather (Meghan Miller), Jill (Amanda Rising) and Robin (Kristen Adele) on a camping holiday orchestrated by their dear Uncle Bill (Mike Hall Sr.). 'Kids Go To The Woods... Kids Get Dead' is a groovy stoner slasher that hits all the right buttons. The central character Scott plays the role of ringmaster, conjuring a killer by reading a book adaptation of the movie script before it's been released. With audacious storybook framing, cracked home video edits and hard-drinking horror hostess Candy Adams (Carly Goodspeed) interrupting proceedings to commentate from the Hellgate Social Club, this decidedly old school slasher guarantees a fine time for all. Why isn't the sequel 'Kids Get Dead 2: The Kids Get Deader' (2014) available to buy on dvd, I'd like to see it? 'Paul Verhoeven On Carolien Spoor' (2016, Documentary - Kelvin Van Stegers) Actress Carolien Spoor worked with the great Dutch filmmaker Paul Verhoeven on his movie 'Tricked' (2012). She's delivered terrific performances in the horror movies 'Claustrofobia' (2011) and 'Sneekweek' (2016). I'm with Verhoeven in believing this brave, intuitive player might represent the bright future of a new Dutch genre cinema. Watch this space ... Peace out!def interested in the Verhoeven documentary
