SMH is WORST Spider-Man movie adaptation ever

Meh, I dont like the Raimi spiderman movies. Basically they are all the same movie. And Dunst is nothing but a weak scream queen. PP is crying all the time and in SM2 he isnt actually Spider-man that much.

Dunst's Mary Jane is an insult to women. Like they are helpless creatures who always pine over a guy that treats them like shit.

I know this wasn't asked of me but still I'd say Spider-man 2 was better than the vast majority of MCU movies. I wouldn't say it was better than all of them, Iron Man, The Avengers, Winter Soldier and Civil War were probably as good or better but otherwise yeah Spider-man 2 is a lot better than the usual MCU movie.

Lol yeah, now that one really doesn't make sense. One good punch and he should have been out cold. He even said that in the comic.

I suppose it wouldn't have been so entertaining though so I always forgave it.



I like them all, I like that the movies also have a plot outside of a superhero having to beat some supervillain who has an evil plan.

That's what almost all of these MCU movies revolve around. They don't spend much in the way of time on the character in general.

Peter Parker has his own life and the movies showed him go through school, get a job, fall for Mary Jane, his relationship troubles, money troubles, job troubles, get with Mary Jane, break up with her again etc.

That's how it was in the comics, there was more to it than him just fighting another villain.

They were funny, action packed and dramatic. It had a bit of everything. It makes them different from the rest.

Love the way you think but you are giving it too much credit. Spiderman Homecoming was horrible. A flaming pile of rubbish. A pile of dogshit that was left out in the yard to dry and turn white. I was expecting to see a superhero movie but instead I saw some skinny dork in a Spiderman costume who was fucking useless. It wasn’t as bad as Guardians of the Galaxy 2 with its immature poo jokes or Suicide Squad but it is a contender for the worst movie of the year.

Agreed on all fronts. I love that they dive into the man behind the mask. When I said that a lot of recent comic movies are lazy what I mean is that they often simply try to be fun, joke filled romps that have zero tolerance for real drama. The Cap movies are really the only modern CBMs that rise above the competition and create something special. The rest aren't bad movies necessarily, some are even really good, but few are exceptional.

How was it more genuine than SM1 though? There were actually more changes to the source material: Vulture's suit, Spidey's AI suit, ECT. And had a bunch of made up characters in the supporting cast instead of Harry, MJ or Gwen.
