What if fox bought Disney? Imagine that twist! I'd ask what crime syndicate they got the loan from? Well, I think we can rule DC out.

For people wondering why Fox would sell back the X-Men rights, that isn't what's happening here.
What's happening is the Fox is selling off their ENTIRE movie Division and Disney is merely making the best offer to buy it from them.

But whatever happens after them, that's up in the air.

Disney mostly lets the studios they acquire do their thing. If they bought Fox it would most likely be Fox under Disney's umbrella. If someone else bought Fox... If they rumors are true, Marvel Studios would most likely get the rights anyway.

Yeah, from what I'm hearing, it sounds like Fox is trying to downsize its operations and focus just on the sports and news networks.

With Infinity War wrapping up all the ongoing plotlines for the MCU, they can easily have the next big film after it (once they get the X-Men and FF back) be some reality altering event that merges the universes together. Only certain characters like Dr Strange would remember the old timeline and the new bunch of movies would explore this new universe wherein Mutants have existed for years alongside non-mutant powered beings. I think the way they should do it is make a Fantastic Four movie and make Kang the villain. Have him go back a long way in time and create a small army of super powered people. When he is defeated, along with his army, have the F4 come back to a different world where mutants are now a thing in the world. Have it that they are the descendants of Kang's army. You keep everything, for the most part, the same as it happened in previous movies. Except now you add in that mutants were a thing. Put Xavier and Erik at the battle of New York and that's where he was crippled. Or make a House of M and Heroes Reborn scenario. Where there use to be mutants in the MCU but Wanda went crazy and put them in another realtiy(XCU) afterwards she lost her memory.

Can't wait for Disney's Deadpool. Which won't be any different. It won't exist, because Disney doesn't have the dick to make an R-rated Deadpool movie.

If they did a pocket universe where all of their R-rated characters get to exist (like Deadpool and Cable and shit), then I'm fine with the X-Men eventually joining the MCU. But if they try to cram all of it in there, then that's dumb. In the end, I'd rather these just stay at Fox. They are taking more interesting risks right now.

Disney's released dozens of R-rated movies, you just don't see their castle or Mickey Mouse before the credits roll.

After all, that's the studio that brought us 'The Peanuts Movie'...

And they're not getting my money, that's for sure. I don't care what kind and how many "X-Men" films and "Fantastic Four" films they make, they'll never be as good as the originals. We will never get any castings as great as Jessica Alba as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Anna Paquin as Rogue or Halle Berry as Storm again, that's for sure.
