Disney wouldn't have the nuts to make that Logan movie either. They should stay with Fox for the sake of creative integrity. I don't want kiddie bullshit. For someone who hates kiddie bullshit you sure do post a lot of it. K, carrot.

The only things Logan had going for it was it being Jackman's Swan Song and the buckets of blood and gore replacing a plot. Disney wouldn't NEED to bother making something like that. And anyways, they won't be able to repeat Logan's success.
If that's what you call 'creative integrity' then Disney is better off taking over.
All Marvel movies have artificial boosters.

All Marvel movies have artificial boosters. Nah, all natural. Fox had to start relying on gimmicks.

Deadpool is suppose to be stupid. Also, you really want that Deadpool jerk off scene? I don't want him to not be able to say what he said in the Fox movie. Disney doesn't have the nuts to make that kind of movie. No thanks. You might want Kiddiepool, but most people don't. Fox didn't have the nuts to make Deadpool, either. They just took credit for it after it became popular. If Ryan Reynolds had to market the movie out of his own pocket, you know Fox had no faith in it.

Really happy for you.

They can have Fantastic Four and try to make something out of that franchise, but I hope Fox keeps X-Men. To be clear, the deal is not for Marvel to get their properties back. The deal is for Disney to buy 21st Century Fox. So everything in their movie and entertainment division. That Marvel get their properties back is a consequence but its not the main objective. So what you want will only happen if Fox remains 'independent'. And that is not what they want. Yes, but given this is a Marvel board, it was their Marvel properties I was commenting on. I don't want Disney to own Fox in general because I don't want them to have a monopoly on cinema.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sony sells its film division (allowing Disney to take full control of the Spider-Man film rights), and then Paramount gets bought out by whoever didn't get Sony or 20th Century Fox.

I don’t know about anyone else, but the idea of one major film studio buying out another is kind of scary. Monopolies are generally considered detrimental to good business.

And I doubt we have any complete film studio/conglomerate monopolies. However, it's gonna happen whether we want it to or not. I do think we will see a bigger trend of multiple major film studios getting bought out or made into subsidiaries of bigger ones. Sony's film division has been hurting for some time, I don't think Paramount's exactly in top-notch shape, and it's now an open secret that Fox is interested in selling off its film side of things.

Oh, I don't know. It isn't like Fox and WB haven't bought out other studios and incorporated them before. All the Major Studios have done it, that's how they became Major.
