I'm not sure how I feel about this. Ideally, Marvel should own the rights to all of their properties, but given this success of the MCU, several of the X-Men movies, and even Deadpool – and given the fact that they are clearly separate universes – I'm not sure suddenly combining all of these entities is a good idea. Time and effort went into crafting them all and is a big reason for their success. Cramming everything together, not preparing, etc. is frankly indicative of why DC is failing. With Infinity War wrapping up all the ongoing plotlines for the MCU, they can easily have the next big film after it (once they get the X-Men and FF back) be some reality altering event that merges the universes together. Only certain characters like Dr Strange would remember the old timeline and the new bunch of movies would explore this new universe wherein Mutants have existed for years alongside non-mutant powered beings. You ever see this video? That method and several others are proposed. Some really good ideas here. My favorite is at 5:10:

Which won't be any different. It won't exist, because Disney doesn't have the dick to make an R-rated Deadpool movie. Deadpool worldwide box office: $783,112,979 Deadpool production budget: $58,000,000 No one isn't interested in that kind of profit. Disney would do it the same way they've always done R rated movies.

And their not getting my money, that's for sure. I don't what kind and how many "X-Men" films and "Fantastic Four" films they make, they'll never be as good as the originals. We will never get any castings as great as Jessica Alba as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Anna Paquin as Rogue or Halle Berry as Storm again, that's for sure. Genius The best part about Marvel getting the rights back is what no one talks about.... ...the ability to NOT make movies. There have been 9 X-men movies in 17 years. That's overkill for any franchise. It's not sustainable. Marvel could treat the X-men the logical way....make movies only when it makes sense. There would be no "contractual obligation" to make an X-men movie at Marvel. They could take their time and get it right. There is no rush. Take years to develop the ideas if you want and get the casting right for a change with the X-men.

Sure they do, they'll just release it through Fox's film division. Disney's released dozens of R-rated movies, you just don't see their castle or Mickey Mouse before the credits roll. I'm just hoping that Blue Sky Studios is okay even if Disney DOES buy Fox...
After all, that's the studio that brought us 'The Peanuts Movie'...
They're balancing Disney Animation Studios and Pixar just fine.

They can have Fantastic Four and try to make something out of that franchise, but I hope Fox keeps X-Men.

They can have Fantastic Four and try to make something out of that franchise, but I hope Fox keeps X-Men. To be clear, the deal is not for Marvel to get their properties back. The deal is for Disney to buy 21st Century Fox. So everything in their movie and entertainment division. That Marvel get their properties back is a consequence but its not the main objective. So what you want will only happen if Fox remains 'independent'. And that is not what they want.

Can't wait for Disney's Deadpool. Marvel Studio's Deadpool. Which would be Disney-fied and stupid.

Marvel Studio's Deadpool. Which would be Disney-fied and stupid. You mean like how all the PG/PG-13 movies with Logan were?

I heard somewhere that Fox doesn't have the catalogue to start a streaming service like the others. That's why they are going to fall behind.

Marvel Studio's Deadpool. Which would be Disney-fied and stupid. Deadpool is suppose to be stupid. Also, you really want that Deadpool jerk off scene?

Something like The Simpsons and Futurama would be a nice addition to Disney streaming service. Which I feel like is their real goal. Also to get the rights for A New Hope.

I don't want X-Men in the MCU, it would be too messy. If Marvel gets the rights back they should create a whole new and completely separate X-Men universe and they would do it better than Fox. That way Marvel Studios expands to 2 franchises. And I am 100% opposed to any time travel reality changing BS!
As for the Fantastic 4, I would be ok with them in the MCU. However, if I were in charge I would offset them. They would be in the MCU universe but in a different time like the 1960's.

Disney doesn't have the nuts to make that kind of movie. No thanks. You might want Kiddiepool, but most people don't.

I don't want kiddie bullshit. The only things Logan had going for it was it being Jackman's Swan Song and the buckets of blood and gore replacing a plot. Disney wouldn't NEED to bother making something like that. And anyways, they won't be able to repeat Logan's success.
If that's what you call 'creative integrity' then Disney is better off taking over.
