The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939)
Never seen before. Only the much later, and very dark/depressing film (or made for tv) starring Anthony Hopkins, and of course the Disney version from 1996. And while this 1939 version, last for almost 2 hours, I thought the pace, story and characters were well written and acted, so it never got to be slow or boring. Some stunning visual scenes, and surely one I am glad got watched.
My DVD version, arrived with two full length versions. One in original black and white, the other, in colors. I rarely end up picking the colorized version, and went with the black and white.
7,5/10

The Fourth Kind (2009; Olatunde Osunsamni) - This must be one of the worst alien abduction movies ever made. Although it has solid production values and an overqualified cast the entire concept of casting actors as real-life people and pretending the scenes with them are documentary footage while simultaneously having well-known actors playing their fictional counterparts ends up as a complete failure and te over-use of split screen is just incredibly annoying.

Almost Heroes (1998)
Somehow, I used to get this one kind of mixed up along with Wagon's East (1994), as they had similar artwork due to finding both in the old Video rental stores, but sadly, also turns out, it was both the last time we would see John Candy and Chris Farley in a full lenght film. Both also came with lots of, not exactly "great" reviews, but it seems like Almost Heroes has kind of grown a bit, over the years, and I can see why, because it is nowhwere near as bad or horrible, as many often labeled it, back in the day.
I kind of liked the chemistry which Matthew Perry and Farley has going, they share some really funny scenes, but maybe more so, on their own. Of course not everything is a complete riot, like scenes with Carley just shouting and screaming, or falling down, and yeah, funny when it hits, but not that much, when it don't. Also the part where he seems to be sniffing, almost thinking of eating a big cowpie, what the hell?
Eugene Levy is a bit of hit and miss, and a shame, because I kind of wished he would have a bigger part in this, but yeah, then some lesser villain shows up, and well, I enjoyed it more than not, and while not on the same level as Tommy Boy (1995) or Beverly Hills Ninja (1997), I actually liked it, a little more than Black Sheep (1996).

The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972). 6/10. He's got a bear sidekick for half of it. It's hard not to like that.

Hobo with a Shotgun (2011)
Way more fun, the second round, than 10 years ago. Glad I finally re-watched it last night.

Mr. Boogedy (1986)
More of a made for tv movie, or maybe a longer tv show special, as it runs for about 40-45 minutes. Anyway, I kind of wanted to look it up sometime, and it even got itself a follow up, The Bride of Mr. Boogedy (1987), but I think that one is actually a real full lenght release. John Astin, Richard Masur, David Faustino and well, I kind of forget the others, but all in all, might have enjoyed it, a bit more, if one had some childhood memories of seeing it, but yeah, kind of forgettable, some fun scenes, a rather charming crew of talents, but something that I would probably not, ever re-visit on a second go.

Bride of Boogedy (1987)
A full movie, which kind of feels waaay overlong, as it just never quite gets to either funny nor charming enough, to fill up all the bad jokes and boring "plot", and yeah, you sure grew early on, very tired of constantly hearing "BOOOOGEDY-BOOOGEDY-BOOOOOOOOGEDY!" all the time through.
Still, I cannot be too harsh, as theres is several likeable names appearing, again, but surely the weaker of the first two Boogedy chapters.

Dracula 3D (2012)
Well, that went to hell. Talk about a piece of smelly turd, and sad to see favorites like Rutger Hauer go to waste, in this 2 hour long (felt like 20) horrible and boring piece of shit movie, and I should have taken the hint, back in 2011-12, when one first caught the trailer, which looked so awfully bad and cheesy, and sadly, the entire thing, is just way worse.

Solid and very chilling miniseries about the horrors of Jack the Ripper. Seen before, but thought it delivered better on a second time.

I just hope Argento has redeemed himself with that new movie of his called Black Glasses. Myself I won't know for sure until September when it will be available for streaming on Shudder.

Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992). 3/10. I think my last visit, stopped at a poor 4/10, and somehow, I often mistake it for a "better" film, yet only to be reminded, it really was quite a stinker from Sly.

Sad to see such a legendary moviemaker, end up with "quality" releases like, well, too many of the ones I have wasted time and money on, but then again, I remember being more favorable towards the Adrien Brody film, Giallo. Was not aware of him coming up with a new film, and maybe something I could try to look up, within this year and the October Challenge.
