The only way a board dies is if people let it die. If you are not happy with the level of activity, then simply be more active. You'd be surprised to find that you might set off a chain reaction of discussions. There are thousands of people just reading and lurking. They won't actually sign up to post unless there's something worth replying to. You can be the one that starts the next super-thread, but you won't know until you create it. Don't be silly, Blue . Everybody knows it's up to everybody else. Every time I create a thread, there's usually responses fairly quickly. It's not hard to entertain yourself here.

All the threads I've started so far have been duds. I'm sorry to hear But looking at your history, there were a few replies. I suggest spreading out to other parts of the board and create threads there? Sometimes I come on here and post in spurts and check back later to read the responses. Always a few gems when I come back.

There's already a full replacement to IMDB: www.themoviedb.org/It has everything IMDB had, basically message boards to every movie, TV show and actor in existence. They also stole messages from IMDb. That was not cool. I never joined the site yet I see some of my IMDb messages posted there.

It's more polite than Holohoax which appears to be the more popular term-also "denial" is a loaded term. Revision is actually better because it is neutral. Here's a post that refers to a lot more than three books. katana17.wordpress.com/2017/03/09/amazion-bans-100s-of-holocaust-revisionist-books/The ones they list are not showing up for me on Amazon so yes, a lot more than 3. USS Liberty attack books are still available, however.

TMDB keeps changing and changing to fit and bring even more users, many ex-IMDB members. The site is going to be huge. Who's that troll from IMDB you've seen posting on TMDB? And not posting on TMDB because of some troll makes absolutely no sense. Just ignore him. You are right Harry, I shouldn't let a troll bother me, but there are a lot of people I like on IMDB2 so I want to stay here and, hopefully, be a contributing factor in it getting bigger and better as time goes on. I also trust the judgment and sincerity of the admin on this board. And of course I still use the IMDB for my movie ratings and their links to metacrtic and other review sites, so I won't be migrating to TMDB. I don't have time to operate on two talk forums and I like the vibe here. That troll, BTW, is Ben Caesar. You can be on both TMDB and IMDB2. The problem with IMDB2 is that it doesn't have message boards to movies and TV shows, at least for now. I post on both.

You must be confusing TMDB with MovieChat.

Totally false. Only delusional people think the IMDB message boards are not gonna come back and that IMDB has deleted it's entire content. Obviously they kept it. Yep, Col Needham is just sitting around waiting for the day that he can officially declare: "I made a mistake!!! I'm bringing the boards back!!!!!!!" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial

Yep, Col Needham is just sitting around waiting for the day that he can officially declare: "I made a mistake!!! I'm bringing the boards back!!!!!!!" I doubt they will ever reinstate the message boards, but Needham doesn't have to admit it was a mistake. Alexa does that for him: www.alexa.com/siteinfo/imdb.com

That just looks like it shot up and then back down to where it was before. Probably due to the news the board was closing.
We'll see if in a few months it continues to decrease. I don't really expect it to. The site is supposed to get millions of visitors a month and the amount of people that use the boards is probably a small fraction of that.

Take Alexa statistics with a very large handful of salt

Take Alexa statistics with a very large handful of salt I do. It should probably also be noted that the spike occurred just after the announcement and usage dropped to previous averages right after the message board closure. Even still, the sudden drop is interesting.

I think IMDB2, GOTboard and IMDForums should try to merge.

I think IMDB2, GOTboard and IMDForums should try to merge. GOTboard has their own thing going and IMDf wanted to me to shut down IMDB2 and redirect everyone to there.

AdminWhy send everyone to IMDf when you have far more members and far more active boards I'm not going to, and I never said I would. Alex apparently misunderstood this from the start since he thought I reneged on some deal that never was.

We are all here because we enjoy discussing film and other topics of interest, if we are going to reach a common goal we need to concentrate on making this forum the best it can be. There is already plenty of topics here to make the experience interesting. LETS KEEP IT GOING!!!!!!!!!
