It's a good article, and I can't really say I disagree with it. Hope you noticed though that it also criticized the DCEU for suffering the exact same problem.

So the problem is basically that people still are having trouble accepting that the Hero is the lead and the villain isn't a show stealer.
Geez, Nolan and Singer's scars aren't fading fast enough.

If Hans Gruber from the original Die Hard was a Marvel villain, you'd be calling him "one-dimensional" and "boring" and you'd be decrying Marvel for "wasting" Rickman in the role.

I had unblocked you because you were actually engaging in conversations, but now I'm beginning to reconsider.
So tell me ten things about the personal lives and the hopes and dreams of any of the Lethal Weapon villains.

The problem is that nimrods like you walk the fucking planet and carry around a head full of shit all day bobbling on your stupid little shoulders, then get home and vomit it out all over this forum. Nobody cares about your stupid, tweet-sized "witticisms" about anything.

I didn't write the article, ButthurtRaptor. But you had the temerity to post it, so you should be harassed and trolled now until the end of your days for expressing an opinion. In the context of a discussion forum. Marvel must put some kind of subliminal shit in these movies that only works on ~half the population and drives them into a sort of bizarre, loyalist/tribalist frenzy...

And yeah, making the villain the star of the show is the lazy way out.

Well, it is. If the audience walks away and all they think about is the villain then the writer did a lousy job with the hero.

Essentially the FoX-Men stories.

Delete your account. No, I don't think so. Otherwise people here might buy into this nonsense about villains being the stars. A PROPER story makes the hero a worthwhile character, something FOX never learned.

I don't dislike the MCU villains as much as others seem to. But I'll concede that when they're bad, they're really bad. The worst for me were Malekith and whatever name Mickey Rourke went by.
