What is the Holy Spirit? If you believe the Bible is a true, holy text, what conclusions have you drawn about defining what the Holy Spirit actually amounts to?
My belief is that, just as Jesus was God in the flesh, the Holy Spirit is God in a different nature than his true nature, in this case, angelic. What you do you think?

Why does God need this "different nature"? While you could say that God needed a human persona (Jesus) for a sacrifice, what purpose does having a "Holy Spirit" persona have that God in his true nature couldn't accomplish?

No. If you think that disqualifies me from asking my question, then how would you answer that question if it was asked by someone who does believe the Bible to be a true, holy text?

It does not disqualify you from asking your question. It only disqualifies you from getting my answer. You'll just have to wait until a believer shows up to discuss I guess.

He's the singular Spirit that resides within the Father and the Son and the Church. Not sure I'd classify him as "angelic." His role is to point people to the Son, who in turn perfectly reveals the transcendent Father. We could also say his role is to make Jesus-followers more Christlike.

It seems that "The Holy Spirit" is more like a computer program that is supposed run and maintain the universe for God... It runs directly off of (or directly is) the power of God (hence the word "spirit"... which is usually badly translated as "ghost")...
It's not really meant to be viewed as God... and is never really referred to as such.
It isn't even really viewed as being sentient.

I'm driving more at "what" he is in the sense that Jesus was a human. Would you agree that the Holy Spirit is not human?

I would say the same about the Father as well. I don't think the Father and the Spirit are things you can exactly "see." The Son is the member of the Trinity that is the visual representative of the Father.

It does not disqualify you from asking your question. It only disqualifies you from getting my answer. Not only is that illogical, it is also self-defeating. When a believer is unwilling to answer a valid question from a non-believer, it only demonstrates to all the weakness of the believer's position. But suit yourself.

By the way, I think he actually did appear as a human, but I do not think that is his "true nature."

Did you ever see "Star Wars?" Remember the Force?
This goes to show you how much things have changed. Years ago, if someone asked what the Force in "Star Wars" is, I'd say, "Okay, you know what the Holy Spirit is, right?" Now it's the other way around. Many people don't believe in the Holy Spirit anymore, and some don't even grasp the concept.

I consider it perfectly logical to dismiss any argument from a non-believer when it pertains to a very specific, complicated thing like I am asking. And if by "unwilling to answer a valid question from a non-believer" you meant "unwilling to answer several dozen questions whilst the goal line shifts more and more off topic," then I'm not concerned with how it makes me look. If you actually had one question, I would answer it, but you don't. No matter what I answer with (since I am believer and since my answer will come from that perspective), you will only continue to ask questions until either you're sick of typing, I'm sick of typing or your question has driven us wildly off-topic. Most likely the latter two. I'm looking for edifying communication. I am not interested in your challenges.

If I were a deity that was directing or producing a holy book, I'd skip the anatomical descriptions of myself and focus on those of my readers.

Ha, but to be fair, we could argue whether either one has sentience or not. True. I'm definitely in the camp that says the Holy Spirit has sentience. I'm not so sure I'm still in the camp that says the Force has sentience. Since TLJ came out, I no longer consider Disney Wars in my head canon, so the idea of the Force as a sentient character is back to being a debatable mystery.

“It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.” Don't be silly. That's just a bunch of sentient microbes.

People have said the Holy Spirit has talked to them, which implies sentience. I haven't really made up my mind on it. Still collating.
