Nah. If the movies are good, that's all that matters. I only stop watching when the movies are bad. I'm looking at you, Adam Sandler.

The demand for comics is the same. People don't take it seriously. And well they shouldn't. Comicbooks are works of fantasy. Read them for enjoyment, don't take them seriously. That would depend on what i am reading.

This misconception is mainly the fault of a dude named Grant Morrison. But Claremont did all kinds of wacky crazy stuff with the X-Men too. Yeah, I didn't make my post clear enough. Claremont did BATSHIT crazy stuff with the X-Men. Morrison put them in these and generally "normalized" what you would call the ground approach in mainstream X-books:

Still Fox. And until they do something different than what they did under his reign, then... Bringing in Sentinels which Rothman kept from happening? But they brought them in in X3. Kinda.

And yet the MCU, which fully embraces the source material is by far the most popular superhero property right now. Seems you're just wrong. The demand for comics is the same. People don't take it seriously. There you go assuming you speak for everyone again. You're quite the presumptuous douchebag on top of being a film snob.

I think i speak for the a majority since the superhero film boom was not followed by a cape comic books boom. Why do you take these cape guys super seriously? I am a film snob, based on what?

The MCU is adding another film of theirs' to the Billion Dollar Club on a yearly basis now and you think a hater like you speaks for the majority? Um, comic book sales have always been minimally impacted by how their film counterparts do. Besides which, all traditional paper media is struggling right now. Oh, wait, that's a factor you didn't think of because you didn't want to. You're a film snob because you hate anything that doesn't fall in line with YOUR idea of "proper cinema." In fact, you seem to find serialized story-telling on the big screen to be inherently abhorrent.

When these movi9es leave the won't be remembered much, i am sorry.

There you go thinking you speak for everyone again. You don't speak for anyone but yourself. These films won't be remembered much by YOU, but you do not speak for anyone else. Get over yourself, you complete egomaniac.

Get over yourself, you complete egomaniac. Why would those movies be remembered long term? Because they're good movies and absolutely ground-breaking for the superhero genre. By the way, I had this exact argument with someone who tried to convince me no one would remember Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy even ten years down the road. He has been thoroughly proven wrong since then and you will be proven wrong as well. You don't get to decide what will be remembered and what won't.

Get over yourself, you complete egomaniac. Why would those movies be remembered long term? Because they set new standards for CBMs and showed people that you can tell a good Comic movie without making the villain the star of the show, instead making the hero interesting enough in his/her own right. Something Batman and X-Men have never been able to pull off.

Easy to be ground breaking when there was almost nothing before you.

Actually, there's decades of superhero films before them. It's been a long, arduous process of finally getting a series of superhero films that embrace their roots instead of pretending to be something else.

You got them because the tech is there. They are nothing amazing, but they can be fun.

...So you're one of THOSE kinds of people, eh.
A film doesn't have to win ANY Oscars to go onto to be well-remembered and regarded, and there have been many award-less films to remain popular through the decades. Your question is meaningless, because the Oscars are not the do-all-be-all. Really, it only serves to only further prove what a snob you are. To answer it: there are many people who love to see the Academy give superhero films a fair shot.
