Maybe because it's just a downright terrible film with astounding level of miscastings and dreadful green screen effects?

It's wondrous, unashamed, and doesn't make the villains the stars. And it isn't grounded, that's for sure. formersamhmd, is it your favorite non-MCU movie because it's so much like the MCU? |

It was like an Ed Wood version of MCU. The acting was some of the most wooden and cliché of any superhero movie, let alone A list ones. And the typically Marvel style humor was reduced to mind numbing clichés, even by MCU standards. It's criticism is well deserved. |

It was like an Ed Wood version of MCU. The acting was some of the most wooden and cliché of any superhero movie, let alone A list ones. B&R is a fine film. Highly stylized, which is exactly the opposite of the bland MCU. Visually. But the acting was worse than the the MCU with the lone exception exception possibly being Chris O'Donell, marginally exceeding the rest. It was probably Clooney's worst acting performance. Probably Uma Thurman's worst performance. This movie actually made me question being an Schwartzenegger flick fan for the first time. Every line he delivered was horribly clichéd, or a worn out, lame meme. This movie made comic books look like Shakespeare! I'm still waiting to see an MCU movie get those formulas this bad. |

Because Batman & Robin is a badly made movie that has no genuinely redeeming factors going for it and is everything a superhero movie should avoid to be if they want to be successful with critics, fans, and general audiences. The worst MCU anything is still Citizen Kane compared to Batman & Robin. |

This lovely scene is gold but everything in Batman and Robin is trash mmm Because it fits Star Lord's character in that he is literally the only human in that part of the universe and with a love of music and knowledge of Earth-related popular culture he uses it as an advantage to distract Ronan from accomplishing his goals. Mr. Freeze wearing a snow-laden robe with a pair of polar bear slippers, smoking a frozen cigar, and forcing his henchmen to sing a song from a Rankin Bass Christmas special on the other hand is a legitimate WTF moment because it does not fit his characterization at all even with the set-up from earlier on (And its just plain stupid, and doesn't do anything to move the plot forward whatsoever). |
