I'm a big fan of the Hammer film. Have you seen it? Yes.

Classic Horror Stories (roughly 50 short stories contained in the book)
Currently the specific story is The Fall of the House of Usher (Edgar Allen Poe)

I'm 100 pages into The Exorcist. Was supposed to bang through it in October but got busy.

The Lost Throne, an adventure/thriller by Chris Kuzneski who's kind of become the successor to the likes of James Rollins and Clive Cussler.

The Fifth Risk by Michael Lewis. I would strongly recommend this book to...well, everyone in the U.S. This should be required reading for everyone old enough to vote in the 2020 election, so that they can realize the level of incompetence, fraud, and greed that represents Trump and his sick joke of an administration and vote him out. It's a pretty easy read, just a little over 200 pages and relatively large type, but it says a lot about Trump and his unsuitability for office. This isn't a Democrat vs. Republican issue; it's an American vs. anti-American one (and Trump is in the latter category; he's only out for himself and his ilk).

Enjoyable so far, about halfway through.

I'm currently reading two books - 'The Sibyl in Her Grave ' by Sarah Caudwell (a vastly underrated mystery author, in my opinion) and 'The Nature of Alexander' by Mary Renault. I hop between them as my mood dictates.

A great concept and some very good stories. The detail on the cover is from my favorite Hopper painting - one that is very appropriate to this board. It is called "New York Movie." It was finished in 1939 which gives us a range to try to guess what movie is playing (and to guess why all the house lights are up in the theater).

A new author for me. She has three books. I read the first; am now reading the third so I will have to go back and pick up the middle volume.

The Terranauts by T.C. Boyle. About halfway through and it's gripping stuff. The details of the Biosphere in which the main characters are sent to live are clearly based on the real-world Biosphere 2 and make life inside such a place sound quite appealing.
