I've never heard of it I don't think but it sounds like a fun premise.

The thing I always think about with this movie is my grandmother who was an English teacher and her utter disdain for Robin Williams' character and his desk climbing antics.
Anyway, it is a pretty corny, on the nose movie that somehow works in spite of that.

The fact that the story revolves around undoing the major events of The Wrath of Khan makes things feel a bit anticlimactic at times. It does feel like they got major cold feet about some of the directions WoK went and were trying to course correct, not just with Spock's resurrection but also with stuff like Kirk's son - a major new development for Kirk and a symbol of his aging and need to mature and jk Kirk son dead.

One of the best zombie movies ever vs the slightly better Avatar. Gimme Return.

Objective nay, but personal kinda yay.
I'm actually on a cruise right now. No Jason though.

I always thought it was pretty fun. And Hewitt was never hotter.

Very good movie. I’m surprised just about all around. I’ll echo darkpast above and say I wasn’t a huge fan of the main human female. She’s far from bad, but she simultaneously over and underacts. Owen Teague as Noa was fantastic, though. I think she was hindered by an underwritten character that didn't go too far one way or another. Although her American accent was kinda shaky. I was waiting for her to ask Noah for a spot of tea.

Great, we can look forward to a mediocre, glorified TV movie. Maybe even Henry Thomas cosplaying as Jason Miller's ghost.

If I was a fan of those Oceans movies I'd probably be pretty hard right now. Alas...

Dawn -8/10 Rise -8/10 Planet -8/10 War - 8/10 Conquest -5/10 Battle -5/10 Escape -5/10 Marky Mark and the Monkey Bunch -2/10 Beneath -1/10 Haven't seen the new one yet. I'd probably slide Kingdom between Conquest and Battle.

Isn't it basically a rehash of the first one? A movie I didn't care much for the first time.

I think Spaeny should have been nominated if not won an Oscar last year. I've only seen O'Conner as the failson version of Prince Charles in The Crown but I liked him, better than McNulty's OTT portrayal in later seasons. Andrew Scott is always good, although I can never really unsee him as Moriarty.
So yeah, so far so good. Of course, I won't be watching because as you all know I think Rian Johnson ruined Star Wars.

I haven't seen it, but I know it's a popular animated movie for families that did well financially/critically. I'm surprised there hasn't been a sequel/prequel/whatever done for it yet. Probably because most of its good will is thanks to the opening scene and the rest is kind of forgettable.

I enjoyed it for the most part. The CG was a little more prominent (or at least noticable) than in Fury Road, and it was strange how Furiosa being a girl suddenly stopped mattering in Joe's city, but still a pretty fun movie. Hemsworth reminded me of Heath's Joker (in a good way)I agree, especially since they are both Australian. I joked to my brother that Furiosa has a Mad Max Joker and Mad Max Bane in it. Glad you enjoyed it. I had a blast. Oh yeah, Immortal Joe. Good call. (Not to mention Tom Hardy himself in flashbacks... er, flash forwards)

His brother doesn't seem to be in a good place, either.

One of the few eps Trey and Matt essentially apologized for. Oh. I was not aware of that.

Cubed (which I genuinely like, as opposed to being a lesser evil situation. The rest suck, though)

It's in my tp 10 Hitchcock at least. It was originally released in 3D; I actually have a 3D copy on blu ray.
