This is especially true of the liberals and atheists on this board. Isn't your hero the same guy who claimed that "the blacks" were happier before the civil rights movement? Probably not a good idea to be getting advice as to what constitutes homophobia from a known ignorant racist. For the record, people who go out of their way to legalize discrimination of LGBT people do in fact FEAR homosexuality. It is fear that drives such actions. Fear of people in the bathroom, fear of their children "turning gay", fear of sociological acceptance of something one has a personal aversion to. Those are all irrational fears of homosexuality. Those without such fear don't spend so much time talking about how "evil" and threatening to society it is. So congratulations on being another homophobe who doesn't even know what the word actually means. Just because you think it's a bad word, or because you don't recognize your own fears does t mean you don't have them, or that the word doesn't apply to you. johnblutarsky, by putting the two lies in quotes, does it mean that you regard them as truths instead of lies? Sorry. This might have fallen into a double-negative situation. Unfortunately, the wording in the original picture is clumsy. Robertson mentions two statements and says that they are lies. He also mentions that our culture accepts these statements (which is the main portion of the information that I have a problem with). It's not clear if he means that....culture has accepted his two statements (which he says are lies) to be true...or culture has accepted his two statements (which he says are lies) to be false. I don't agree that our culture (as a whole) feels that if you disagree with someone's lifestyle, you must fear or hate them.
I also don't agree that our culture (as a whole) feels that in order to love someone means that you agree with everything they believe or do. Much like a variety of other quotes from Robertson, he says a lot of things, but when you boil down the essence of what he's saying, you're not left with a lot of substance. He wasn't talking about all of our culture pinhead. He was talking about the majority on the left. Good God man. |

Yeah, that's the one. A day and half of bliss went by, and then EE Hitler and Red Ruth were posting again, followed by most of the others, although some like Acantillado and IslandMur posted infrequently after that. Cine tried to assure me that they never intended to leave the board for good but only wanted a place where they could talk to each other without being bothered by us (the religious, faithful, and spiritual). What a load that was. It's definitely a load, which is understandable since it's a fantasy created in your own alcohol-addled mind. He's so dumb Cash made his own comment look like Erjen said it.  |

And I'll be leaving this site soon, too, if I have to keep scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page to mute some loudass obnoxious video ad.

What exactly the views are and what they mean would need to be examined in a poll-by-poll manner, as opposed to massive dumps and parries to statements that aren't backed up when looking closely. A bigger problem in this thread is actual people preemptively crying "cries of racist and islamophobe" all calculated to shut down the discussion. What are you babbling about now, superdude. As I get closer to God by praying and adhering to his laws and teachings,[attending mass, going to confession and receiving holy communion] it becomes easier to resist sin and temptation. It also reduces stress and depression for me and greatly improves my mood and well being.
I never felt this good when I was out of the Church and it was impossible to resist sin.

If I disagree with someone's lifestyle, I don't fear or hate them. Furthermore, I don't feel that I have to agree with everything a person believes or does, in order to love them. Robertson goes off half-cocked with many of the statements that he makes, IMO. (Just to be clear - on my end...it's OK if you don't agree with my opinion). So then you agree with Phil Robertson's statement in the OP? Because he does speak the truth in the OP. |

Given those options, it's not looking very good for you.  I found out today that these two were not the only options. One other option (probably) was: My browser updated itself, and the plugin got lost. I reinstalled the User Blockable Thread plugin today, and now the thread blocking works. Thank you! Now I dont have to wade through anymore asinine "poetry" |
