Everyone knows that Marvel are super secretive to the point they didn't even give Tom Holland the full script for Infinity War. I've seen multiple actors joke about assassins in the audience being ready to shoot them if they spoil anything as well.
They haven't given out the title for Avengers 4 so they're being secretive on that.
So what I don't get is how Infinity War kills half the main characters off as a huge cliffhanger...but then a week after that movie comes out Chris Pratt says Guardians of the Galaxy 3 starts filming next year.
They've just announced the title for the next Spider-man movie. They've confirmed the villain for Doctor Strange 2. They've even confirmed Black Panther 2.
These characters are all dead and this is making it crystal clear that they're all coming back to life.
I know that happened in the comic and most people figure they will come back somehow but it's making it pretty obvious how it's all going to end isn't it?

Nobody in their right mind thought all of those characters were going to remain dead. Even so, I don't see the point in confirming that is the case.

But MCU Dictator Kevin Feige got greedy and wanted to make people pay twice the money to see what should've been just 1 movie.

A two part movie was the right idea, this was many years and movies in the making and involved too many plot points to all be dealt with in a single movie.
This is like if the DCEU ever had anything similar to the Infinity Crisis storyline, that's probably not a one movie story.
I just find it odd that after all this build up, the planning and the secrecy that they'd let Chris Pratt say anything about a Guardians of the Galaxy 3 or even just confirm anything at all following this movie.
I figured they hadn't come out with the Phase 4 line up for this very thing.
They don't want to tell us what the title for the next Avengers movie but they're ok telling us there's sequels on the way with characters who are meant to be dead? It's just weird.

I think they were searching for a way to phase out the old crew and this might be the way.
I mean, it's really a win-win right now. People LOVE Infinity War and that had plenty of death and a downer of an ending. Marvel now knows that the audience won't riot in the streets if a hero dies. They can now kill off the original Avengers (Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Widow, Hawkeye, and possibly someone like Nick Fury or War Machine) to make way for the new crowd (Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc).
That also makes IW continue to stay relevant and costly to our heroes and the overall story, but also leaves room for more movies, which is of course the main goal.
My advice to Marvel: don't chicken out. Don't turn back now. They have the world by the throat and making everything end all fine and dandy would be the worst thing they could do. It also offers a nice jumping point for people like me to leave the franchise since I couldn't care less about Captain Marvel and company.

I'm pretty sure most of those sequels were announced before Infinty War's release. Did anyone seriously think all the deaths in IW were permenant? Regardless of when/how/who returns the IW ending was still a ballsy move, but really should only be seen as a cliffhanger to a two part story.

I think if they kill off all of the main characters, they risk alienating a huge section of the audience. You only have to look at Star Wars to see the potential disaster lurking around the corner should Feige mishandle the next step.

Well they did say Captain Marvel was going to be replacing Captain America and Iron Man as the main character so I do think those two will be killed off but I'd hope that Thor and Hulk would stick around.

Feige and company put themselves in this situation. Now they have to finish the job and respect the ending of IW. I think that if the original heroes die honorable deaths, the people will embrace the next movie and love every bit of it. Comic books always killed the heroes off for good at some point, so this should be expected.

Cap can elope with Bucky so Chris Evans can work on some other projects for a few years and return when he wants some money. It sounds as though they are thinking about giving Black Widow a movie of her own and they would be freaking insane to get rid of Thor and Banner after Ragnarok. Someone can kill Hawkeye though. .......Please....anyone.....just put him out of his misery!.

They just ceased to exist (... for the time being). There is a subtle but significant difference. It's not like they're going to resurrect someone who was stabbed through the heart by a massive spikey thing, declared dead, and has been decomposing for a while. That would be stupid.

To do it justice as a single film, Infinity War would have been a 4 hour film. Id rather they split it up as two films than rush the gauntlet story as a 2 hour film.
