Saw this the other day for the first time in a VERY long time, reminding me that I'm old enough to remember a time when TV stations actually "signed off" the air at the end of their broadcast day, leaving nothing (usually) but a test pattern to "watch" if you stayed up late enough at night to see it (usually sometime after midnight, with some stations signing off only after playing the Star Spangled Banner, a patriotic rendition of America The Beautiful, a recitation of The Lord's Prayer (or other religious prayer/chant), or something else similarly 'suitable'..... Anybody have any others ?? SAVE FERRIS

Well, the twinge of uncomfortableness I'm starting to feel when telling someone my age.
That and when someone younger than me brings up a musician I've never even heard of, which is becoming more and more common.

Recently someone addressed me as "young lady" (a patronizing term used when addressing the elderly, which is insulting because it implies that they're deluded enough to feel flattered by it). Tip to younger people who try this on anyone over 50--please stop.

Finding it increasingly difficult to locate a competent apothecary or physician skilled in leech-craft when evil humors have invaded my body.

When I walk through the house I can't tell what is me and what is the floor creaking.

Still haven't migrated to ipods because I just can't be bothered and I still burn CD's. Some douche cashier at the Super Market got snarky with me because I pulled out a flip phone to check the time. I told him to have a wonderful minimum wage day I have no intention on getting a smartphone and can't stand the culture behind it. Meanwhile the world is just marching ahead with them.
Still have VHS players in the house because I spend thousands of dollars over the years on tapes and I am not about to just throw all that time and work away and force myself to buy it all over again on a new format that will be abandoned soon enough.

The idea of saying to a young person today, “we didn’t have the internet when I was a kid” sounds like I’m old. (Though, as a kid I had computers – barely.)

Not knowing what 'DBOTY' is, or what 'woke' means. Lol, "DBOTY" is douchebag of the year. "Woke" is a term that started out as a compliment, acknowledging that someone possessed next-level awareness of current day socio-cultural blah blah blah, but it's quickly turned to often pejorative usage, deriding aforementioned concept.
