Well this was obvious to anyone with common sense wasn't it? I know a few men in their 50's/60's who've said things like "Batman and the other Marvel characters."

Sure to anyone with a functioning brain, but there are 2 or 3 users who frequent this board that must be mentally challenged, because they have repeatedly said they are not trolls. And those are the only 2 possibilities for their posts and replies.

So it's just the rantings of an angry old man then? Reminds me of someone.

Can't say I'm that surprised. He did already admit that he has barely watched any MCU movie. At this point it's clear he's irritated at the success of the MCU and is just lashing out.

So it's just the rantings of an angry old man then? Reminds me of someone. I would think most people his age would not like comic book movies. All boils down to suspension of disbelief I suppose. I've found older people's is stiffer. Now there are exceptions, but the exceptions I know grew up reading LOTR, Asimov, etc as kids/teens. My Uncle loved MCU, DC, Blockbusters etc but he was born at the very end of the Boomer Gen. And grew up on horror, fantasy, sci-fi books. He passed it along to his kids, so we tended to make a group thing when I was in town and knew Comic Book movie came out.

They have 2 options: Ignoring it or say that Disney has gotten to him. The only problem with option 2 is that would remove any integrity that Scorsese has. The only thing worse than a briber is the bribed.

Or maybe the reporters could stop asking him the same fucking question. I mean, you have a legend in front of you and all you can think to ask is if he likes some super-hero movie? Really?

This. ^ Scorsese is not one of my favorite directors but I do see the quality of his movies. Ao you have an interview because The Irishman comes out and you come up with : What did you think about Thor Ragnarok? Scorsese is not the problem here. Pop Culture 'journalism' is.

So it's just the rantings of an angry old man then? Reminds me of someone. It's more the factor of being popular. His whole thing was that they take up too much space in theaters so there's no room for other movies ( i.e. his movies). And, at the same time, superhero movies being popular, they are an easy target to promote their own movies. You don't hear about someone starting on the comic book movie hate until they have something to promote.

Or it could be them wondering why he doesn't like the genre as a whole. Would he have said anything about superhero movies back in the 90s when they weren't as popular? I mean, he had a real hard on for the genre when he was promoting The Irishman.

You lot sure seem obsessed with what Scorsese thinks of superhero movies. Why the fuck do you even care what some director who mostly directs crime movies thinks?

And why would someone be offended because he doesn't like comic-book movies?

Maybe, but Scorsese did still give a very negative judgement on something that he knew very little about. That's a dick move no matter which way you look at it.
