They should have been given a better death. We've known them since Thor 1. They should have Hela taken them out on the bridge while asgard civilians where being evacuated. Give them a more heroic death. But that's my point is that not giving them a better death makes their death that much more visceral. It's like this ultimate feeling of helplessness that someone can die with such little purpose. It might have just been cliche' to give them an heroic death instead of using a sudden death to establish Hela's strength. I honestly liked it a lot on the second viewing as well. Maybe. I wonder if Lady Sif would have gotten the same treatment as them as well?

I don't see any way they could have put both her and Valkarie in the movie together, so it might be very interesting for Sif to come back as Thor's Queen and Valkarie to pull a Caiera and get a little hulk action going.
Also, let's not forget Hogun had the heroic death for the group, so I think it's ok that two died quickly in a surprise attack and then he made a stand.

So Thanos ship approaches Thor's ship in the mid credit scene. Does this mean we will see the extinction of the Asgardians in Infinity War? Hell of a way to open a film if they do that.

I'm assuming Sif would've been banished to Sakaar by Loki or something.

I'm assuming Sif would've been banished to Sakaar by Loki or something. That would have made for a less interesting character arc, since there's no way she would have treated Thor the way Valkyrie did.

I'm not saying the Dr Strange cameo actively hurt the movie it's just I felt like it added nothing to the film itself It didn't. This is what confuses me about why you're bringing it up, do you think it had to? It just establishes that they met him and what his power set is now. Why does it have to do anything else? Can things not happen in a movie that don't directly affect the main plot?
And it confuses me how this confuses you. People have tried explaining these types of things to you yet you refuse to see it from other people's points of view. I've had similar conversations with you about how I perceived the ending of GOTG V1 which you just don't understand how I see it that way. Just chalk it all up to you not understanding that other people don't view film the way that you do and people actually have different opinions and like to actually discuss a films pros and it's flaws. I'm through with having this discussion with you because you'll never seem to understand how people have different opinions and view films in different ways whether they're trying to review it like a critic or just thinking of things that they'd change. It's just how people's minds work when thinking of or discussing a film otherwise each and everyone of these films would be 10/10's because there isn't a single thing that you could find wrong with them. You've made it abundantly clear how much you praise all these MCU films but not all of us refuse to see duds in their mix. Just leave it at that. People are different.

Why would I see it from that point of view when I already see it as the awesome scene. Am I supposed to be trying not to like it? Is that the goal? I don't get what you're trying to say when you say "I refuse to see your point of view". Of course I do. I'm trying to help you accept the scene, as opposed to trying to view it as misplaced. I don't see the point in trying to find fault with it when it's a really fun scene. It doesn't matter how many people have tried to tell me why they don't like good fun scenes, I'm still going to appreciate those good fun scenes. Why wouldn't I? Why don't you?

AND FOR THE LOVE OF F'ING GOD I'M NOT LOOKING TO CHANGE YOUR MIND IN REGARDS TO IT!!! I'M SIMPLY SHARING MY F'ING OPINION!!! YOU JUST SIMPLY WRITE ANY OPINION OFF BECAUSE IT DOESN'T AGREE WITH YOU AND CLAIM YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!! Seriously dude, I'm so through with you. I don't give two shits about your opinion in regards to these films any more. We get it, they're all magic, sparkles, and rainbows and anybody that see's different just doesn't understand it.

YOU JUST SIMPLY WRITE ANY OPINION OFF BECAUSE IT DOESN'T AGREE WITH YOU No I dismiss them because I don't see that there is any reasonable case to make to find fault with it.
And let's just calm down, I'm simply promoting enjoying them, not trying to piss you off. I mean as a real fan of these, I actively try to appreciate them, instead of finding any reason I can not to.
Is that a bad thing somehow?

This is a prime example of why most people believe that MCU fans are little kids. Because whenever someone gives any opinion of MCU that isn't 100% positive, MCU fans throw tantrums like little kids and attack anyone who says anything negative about MCU.
3 years ago, Someone wrote a post on the old IMDb boards saying that Scarlett Johannson was over-rated and wasn't hot. I replied to that post agreeing that Scarlett Johannson wasn't hot. An MCU fan threw a temper tantrum over me agreeing with someone else saying that Scarlett Johannson wasn't hot so that MCU fan started monitoring my posting history and following me around the many different message boards on IMDb replying to all my posts with vicious personal attacks, even my posts on non-CBM threads which had nothing to do with MCU and which I didn't even mention MCU at all.

Yeah I've never been hugely into ScarJo either but I get why people find her attractive, she has a nice body but I personally don't worship her like so many do.

DC-Fan couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it. And I care why? I'm simply agreeing with the opinion of ScarJo and nothing more. I have zero interest in being dragged into this stupid DC vs MCU bullshit. You're all annoying in my mind with the constant bickering.

I hate that final transformation scene, ill timed, unnecessary and out of keeping with the gravity of the scene/situation . Let me guess, you'd rather they did it in slo-mo with Banner giving some mental monologue while the Orchestra blared out some overly dramatic suite? That's rather a puerile response to an honest opinion. If you liked the scene, fine, good for you. But don't make out that the jokes and slapstick comedy are not incessant, even during the most serious of scenes. And as it happens, you guessed wrong!
