JW's and Mormons are not Christian. As an ex-Unitarian neither were you. All three deny the trinity, therefore all three are technically heretics. lol Go get him Tiger! If there is anything I like more than verbal duels with fundies, it is watching other fundies of a different 'stripe' verbally duelling with each other!

I guess you're the one that said it first. What makes me a fundy? For the record, I actually don’t think you’re a fundy. I was just piggybacking off of Goz’s statement because it was more of a funny dig at Cody (who absolutely is one).

Since you ask (twice, goz, captainbryce) you deserve an answer: Your denomination teaches that the following Bible accounts are not myth or allegory, but actual historical events:
1) God directly created the first human male (Adam) from the dust of the ground.
2) God created the first female (Eve) from a rib that he took from a sleeping Adam.
3) A serpent talked (with help from Satan) to Eve and tricked her into eating forbidden fruit.
4) Rebellious angels mated with human women to breed a hybrid race of giants.
5) Noah brought two of every kind of land animal onto an ark he built to survive a global flood.
6) One original human language became many when God confused men's language after destroying a tall tower.
7) Jonah lived inside the stomach of a great fish for three days, until the fish vomited him out onto land, where Jonah then went on his way.
8) God stopped the earth in its rotation at the request of Joshua.
If your denomination teaches that all these things REALLY DID HAPPEN, that would qualify you as a "fundie" by the commonly accepted understanding of the term. (The fact that fundies have differences among themselves doesn't change the fact that they all fall under the general category.)

How would you react if you found out that everything you believed was wrong ? I'd change everything I believe to align with the truth, of course. Wouldn't anybody? I would. Many (most?) wouldn't and don't regularly. For them, facts are only as useful (or true) to the extent they support their beliefs. If the two conflict, then facts be damned.

How would you react if you found out that everything you believed was wrong ? Since I know that everything I believe in could be wrong, particularly if something cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt, then any correction would be no lasting surprise; rather it would be of great interest.

Fundamentalism, although principally applied to religious belief and practice can also just refer to the strict adherence to the basic principles of any subject or discipline without the need for literalism..

Hmm. I tend to assume that everyone is as concerned with truth as I am. I guess not. The world of politics should be a hint that this is not the case. Politics insofar as we're talking about what should be legal/illegal, how we should structure government, etc. isn't something that anyone can be wrong about.

What's my denomination? First, let's note you don't dispute anything I said about your denomination. So the "fundie" shoe fits. Don't be shy about wearing it. That's for you to say to others if you ever wish to. Until then, I'll just say "Your denomination"; and that's perfectly fair since YOU'VE called it that yourself (when speaking to goz not long ago).

No, let's note that I didn't feel like discussing it before I discuss the very first thing you brought up - my denomination. I have rarely discussed my beliefs with you so why would I start now? Further, it is not correct for you to add to the beliefs of "my denomination" when you don't know those. Can you really be this big of a moron?

This marks your second opportunity to dispute anything I said, and you still don't (because I'm correct). Instead, you opt for blowing smoke and offering insult. Do you think that will work, and if so, for how long?
