Do you expect him to on some grand operatic monologue? No, but I expect him to say something other than the Justin Bieber dialogue he is currently saddled with. So one mild response to an insult means he's Justin Bieber level?

So basically Justin Bieber is your favorite recording artist. Mine is Michael Bolton. I'll be honest with you: I love his music. I do. I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman."

Let's not be disparaging to the OP. He pointed out something that a lot of people have been talking about. It is clearly a thing considering Feige said he was going to release a Timeline after these issues were brought up. That's typical of the many crazed MCU fans here. They'll attack anyone who dares to say anything negative about MCU. Back on the old IMDB boards in 2014, someone wrote a post saying that Scarlett Johannson is over-rated and isn't hot and I replied to that post agreeing that Scarlett Johannson isn't hot. AN MCU fan got so mad at me for agreeing with someone else's post saying that Scarlett Johannson isn't hot so he started following me around the many different boards that I posted on IMDB and attacked me with vicious insults, even on threads that had nothing to do with MCU. So if Civil War is 2 years after Winter Soldier and that is only 2 years after The Avengers then that of course fits with the real time that 4 years passed. However it ended up being 8 years. Thor Ragnarok mentioned it had been 2 years since Age of Ultron which also fits real time. Thor Ragnarok looks to be set right before Infinity War and around the same time as Spider-man. Which would mean Age of Ultron would be 6 years after The Avengers....but Civil War would be 4 years after The Avengers....and Civil War took place after Age of Ultron. So it doesn't fit. WTF? That timeline is really convoluted and doesn't make any sense at all! MCU really fucked up their timeline.

DCEU quality broken Confirmed. BTW why do watch movies that you don't like over and over?

Basically you have a notepad with anti-MCU stories and arguments that you copy and paste on this board weekly.

Life itself doesn't have one tone or one theme, why should movies all be exactly the same in everything? Movies are fictional so saying "life is unpredictable" is a lazy excuse. If there are major changes then they need logical reasoning, not just "you want to be spoonfed or thats how real life works". Lazy lazy justifications. So Thor and Jane break up. But why? A story that is heavily centred around the first 2 Thor films is dropped in Ragnarok without any care. Portman may be to blame partially, but that doesnt excuse the pathetic writing in how they decided to explain it when they're in London and those girls are gossiping. Its bad writing I guess you would just shrug and say, thats character development if in Infinity War Cap is acting like Starlord, joking and goofing around. The reason for me is that Portman sucked as Jane and the "relationship" never worked. Her stupid Scooby Gang also sucked so they got rid of all of them with one off screen breakup. Problem solved and I didn't have to watch Portman struggle to look interested in a breakup scene. Win/win. So what ever the reason...it worked. Thor is now a good franchise and character. They also managed to make the Hulk into a real character in the same movie. First time that's ever happened onscreen.

And yet the Thor franchise is suddenly better than ever by a mile. Oddest complaint ever. Because they dumbed it down. Well then thank god. Fake deep stories are usually pretentious. Leave that stuff for the Oscar bait movies we get in the Fall. Sometimes 3 chords and the truth is all you need. Sure it looks impressive if you write an opera, but that simple song gets me on the dance floor. This is why great comedies are overlooked for Best Picture. Hipster attitudes about how important it is to explore deep psychological pathos every minute. Meanwhile the Marx Brothers were better at making movies that I'll watch 20 times.

WTF? That timeline is really convoluted and doesn't make any sense at all! MCU really fucked up their timeline. It does seem like Spider-man threw a wrench into it. If we just said Homecoming was set in 2016 and combined that with the info Dennis said then it should go like this. Avengers - 2008 Winter Soldier - 2010 Civil War - 2012 Age of Ultron - 2015 Spider-man Homecoming - 2016 Thor Ragnarok - 2017 Nope that doesn't work because Homecoming was set just months after Civil War. Thor Ragnarok couldn't be set from 2015-2017 because it'd mean Age of Ultron would comes after Civil War and it didn't. So the alternative is that it would go like this Avengers - 2008 Winter Soldier - 2014 Age of Ultron - 2015 Civil War - 2016 Spider-man Homecoming - 2016 Thor Ragnarok - 2017 Which fits much but then it would mean Winter Soldier would be six years after Avengers and not two years.

The biggest MCU defenders here (the MCU Defense Attorneys) say that there are no continuity errors with Marvel's timeline. This is a mistake. I'm watching Civil War right now, and given what Homecoming tells us, there are some MASSIVE (and unfixable) continuity errors. Homecoming takes place 8 years after The Avengers. Homecoming also takes place months (at most) after Civil War. The Winter Soldier takes place 2 years after The Avengers. In Civil War, Falcon says that they were looking for Bucky for 2 years. When did they start looking for Bucky? Right at the end of The Winter Solider (2 years after The Avengers). So Civil War can't simultaneously take place right before Homecoming and 2 years after The Winter Soldier. It doesn't work, given the 8 years between Homecoming and The Avengers. Wow. MASSIVE FUCK UP by Marvel. Wonder how they'll fix it...? Or maybe they'll just count on their SHEEP fans not questioning it...? The Avengers .... then Winter Soldier ... then Civil War .... then Homecoming. The continuity seems fine to me. Four movies in sequence. No continuity mix-ups where the events of one movie are out of order to the events of another movie. What we’ve got here is some overblown hysterics over dates. If The Avengers is year 0 and Homecoming is year 8, then Civil War can be year 7, and Winter Soldier is year 5. What’s the problem? WRONG! TWS is 2 years after TA.

It's an unfixable error, people. TWS takes place 2 years after TA. CW is 2 years after that. GIVEN THESE FACTS, the timeline is unworkable. You can't have TA take place 2 years before TWS (which we already established is the case) AND have Homecoming take place only months after CW. It don't work. Homecoming says it's 8 years after TA. Simple math won't allow it.

You have yet to explain what the audience may have seen while watching any of those movies that locks TWS down at two years after The Avengers.

Personally I really don't give a damn. There is the assumption the films take place in the year they were released (which Kevin Fiege says they don't), and when caption or character mentions a span of time it is assumed it isn't rounded up or down (the Vision mentions 8 years since Iron Man's appearance on exactly 8 years...I don't think so). But I'm sure it still would not make it perfect taking these into consideration.
One of my favourite ever films, Halloween, has quite a few continuity errors and even gets the age of Michael Myers wrong...do I care? Not really...i still enjoy the film, it doesn't detract from the story. I feel the same about the MCU. Those that really seem to care the most are those that don't like the films.
