Return of the Jedi is part of my life in ways I cannot easily explain. As a young kid, I watched my VHS tape (pre-special edition) of that movie every weekend and sometimes after school. It was so engrossing at that age; most of the script is permanently in my memory, and it remains one of my favorite movies.
As for a second favorite, it gets a bit tricky. I saw the other 2 originals on TV many times growing up and eventually got them on tape, but I was older at that point, and I'm going to have to go with A New Hope. Empire is a fantastic movie, but I just don't think it has the magic of IV. It's darker, deeper, probably a better made movie, but ANH has a better sense of adventure IMO. Empire is like an older, wiser, more cynical brother of ANH.

I'm looking forward to Saw: Legacy. I didn't know that the cast has now been confirmed... I'm kind of surprised and really pleased that Laura Vandervoort is on board. Can't wait to see the new traps this time around. As others have said, the first movie (or maybe the first 2) were somewhat unique and fresh, but I had no problem with where the series went from there. I think you know what you're in for if you continue watching these movies, it's gonna be more of the same and I'm still loving it.

Billy Dee and the classic Colt 45 commercials. One of the coolest guys in the world...

For me, it has to be Pepsi. Michael Jackson and the 'Pepsi generation' is one of my favourite commercials of all time. The commercial also stars a young Alfonso Ribeiro:

Many episodes of the X-Files come to mind. One of my favourites from when I watched the show as a teen was 'Blood', I loved the concept, it's very rewatchable and the ending was perfect. I could go on listing episodes of this show. Many episodes of 'The New Twilight Zone' (the 80's series) are also great, as are the original episodes, but I've watched more of the 80's version. A standout episode for me was "The Cold Equations". You can watch it on YouTube, other episodes that come to mind are 'Examination Day' and 'Button, Button'.

I don't think the 'Star Wars Holiday Special' has ever had an official release.

This has been on my watchlist for ages. I'm a fan of Lester's other movies, and I really enjoyed Class of 1999.
Apparently the Blu-Ray is a pretty good transfer, another on my huge list of shout-factory movies to pick up over time...

A solid action movie! I haven't seen it in a very long time, but I still remember most of the scenes. I remember the opening in the store being great, the awesome car chase and the ending at the motel/mill or something like that...
I don't wanna bash Cannon Films (they made some good stuff), but the quality of Cobra is far above what you would usually expect from Cannon IMO.
I should rewatch this movie again, I have it on VHS somewhere, but I might get the Stallone Blu-Ray collection, because I don't own any Stallone movies on Blu yet...

It's very close between Aliens and The Terminator for me, but I'm gonna have to go with The Terminator.

I first saw Pulp Fiction late on a saturday night when I was very tired, and in quite a bad mood. I really didn't appreciate it much and just didn't get what all the fuss was about. I rewatched it about 2 years later and loved it.

Unfortunately I highly doubt that ProBoards has the capacity to host the required number of boards for every movie/tv show/actress that IMDB has listed. I have no idea if ProBoards offers an API to add boards, if there was no limit on the number of boards that could be added, you could simply create a script which goes through IMDB's master list and creates the boards automatically. I suspect that ProBoards either have a board limit or would shut down the site before that could be completed though... One of my old hard drives has a slightly out of date copy of IMDB's master list (all movies/actors/actresses/tv show episodes). There's a link on IMDB that allows you to download it, or at least there used to be... It's a huge compressed csv/rtf/txt file IIRC... I'm very happy that I have a place to go talk with movie fans anyway now that IMDB is closing. Thanks for building/maintaining this place Admin (and any others).

One of my favourite composers. His scores are a staple of my childhood. My favorite overall would probably be the main Star Wars theme (Rebel Blockade runner). Followed by Jurassic Park/Indiana Jones and the other music from the original Star Wars movies (Binary Sunset/Cantina Theme/Throne Room). I always forget that he did the original Harry Potter theme. I could go on, but those are the ones which had the most impact on me. His music has been playing in my head for many, many years and long may that continue.

Last Crusade for me, one of the best adventure movies ever. It's got comedy, a good script, serious when it needs to be and the tank chase is fantastic.
I'm Not putting Raiders down. Raiders is great in the same ways as Crusade, I just think Crusade has a pinch more humour and the father/son relationship works well.

My name is the company responsible for the construction of a certain object in a certain movie... I first saw the movie on VHS when I was a teenager, and I loved it. I still love it today, I'll admit it has some weaknesses, but it just left such an impression on me. PS - If you know what my avatar is from, you are awesome.

I also think this has nothing to do with "unsavory" content on IMDB. I've been lurking on IMDB for 10+years, the amount of abuse that people hurl at each other has not increased in any way that I'm able to detect. If anything, in some areas the site seemed to be getting more civil...
I suspect this is because they aren't making much/any money from the forums. I've seen various theories floating around that the forum closure is due to people posting private content about celebrities on the message boards. Another theory is that the boards for new mainstream releases are being bombarded with negativity, and this might spill over into box office revenues. Admittedly, the boards for new movies are often awash with spammy/negative posts, but in my experience, IMDB generally has a great community. It might seem weird for me to say that, but the amount of rare information that could be found across the various message boards was amazing. Maybe it was because I mostly lurked niche boards, but the good/bad post ratio in my experience was at least 80-90% good posts...

I haven't seen the 04 version in at least 8 years, I should pick it up actually (if it's cheap enough), I remember liking it.
I'm going to have to give my vote to the original though. It sticks out much more in my mind, Ken Foree was great in that movie. Tom Savini's gore also has a very distinct look which I enjoy.

I like Rain Man. The guy it's (sort of) based on, Kim Peek, had an incredible brain. You could go to him, tell him your name and he could tell you how many people in the US telephone directory shared your name, where they lived, what their numbers were etc...
I like the ending too, sort of sad, but realistic, and it shows how the characters view each other.
