Seasons 2-10, are my personal favourites. It was from season 2 that the Simpson's started to find their feet in terms of writing. I think it's from 11 onwards, that the quality of the writing started to drop and it was a chore to sit through. I am fond of season 1's Homer's Night Out. It was the first episode that tested the strength of Homer and Marge's marriage.

I like both Ferris Beuller's Day Off and TBC. I think we can all relate to Ferris. We've all wagged school at some point or other. Ferris comes across as a sociopath for most of the movie, but i like how he taught Cameron to stand up to his strict dad. Jennifer Grey is great as his sister. She resents Ferris, but helps save him from being caught in the end.
TBC is a talky film, but i like the message it has, that you shouldn't put people in boxes and learn to appreciate people for who they are. Paul Gleason is great as Vernon. He's great at playing pricks.

VYVYAN!! Oh my God, TYO. I almost forgot all about them. "House Meeting!" Oh his forehead studs! RIP Rik (my fave) Nigel! Did you see him in Terry Pratchett's movie as the wizard in Hogfather? Typical Nigel. Mike being Mike. There has to be one in every house. Good times. Good times... The Young Ones an underrated comedy. Thd best Vyvvyan moment has got to be this one!

What film are you currently watching? I'm watching Dr No. I think it's a solid debut for Bond on screen. The Jamaican Locations are lovely. Joseph Wiseman is brilliant as Dr No. I liked the build up to the reveal of No, with Bond talking to various characters and slowly putting the pieces of the jigsaw together as to who killed Strangways and Quarrel. It wouldn't be until Goldfinger, that the Bond formula wouldn't be what it is today.
Ursula Andress is great as Honey Ryder. She brings many layers to her character. She is childish, but also exhibits bravery, terror and innocence. Zena Marshall is great as the sexy double agent Miss Taro.
Connery comes across as nervous and delivers some of his lines too quickly. I'll give the rear projection during the car chase a pass, because it was the technology they had available at the time.
8/10

The ending of On Her Majesty's Secret Service didn't make me cry. It left me upset because it was so unexpected. I remember watching Forrest Gump as a child and the ending with the feather flying away, made me bawl! Alan Silvestri's score didn't help matters!

What about The Great Escape? Ashley Pitt and Richard Attenbourough's character (i forget his name) ride on a train, passing themselves off as civillians and Ashley Pitt meets his end as he is shot by a nazi and dies on the tracks.

Death Wish is getting a remake. I don't think i'll watch it when it comes out because it will be a pale imitation of the original

I love this film! If anyone hasn't seen it, it's about a tomboy who meets a college boy from a well to do family and they fall in love. The romance is soon cut short because he goes off to fight in WW1.
Doris Day is great as Marjorie Winfield and so are Rosemary DeCamp and Leon Ames, as her parents. There's a wonderful scene, where Wesley tries to get out of detention by telling an elaborate story about how his dad is an abusive drunk.
i'm fond of this film because i used to watch it with my nana. It's ages since i've seen it thi0ough.

I think Hugo Drax and Max Zorin, are the most evil villains in the Roger Moore era. Drax wants to poison everyone on the earth and repopulate it with a handpicked group of genetically perfect specimens. Apparently he was based on Adolf Hitler. Michael Lonsdale played him as charming and calm.
Max Zorin was psychotic! He machine guns his own men amd he laughed while doing it! The way he got rid of that KGB agent was brutal too!

I prefer Pepsi, over Coke. I find Pepsi to be sweeter than Coke. Coke is too acidic for me.
I like drinking Dr Pepper. We only get the original version in supermarkets. Specialist shops import different sweets and drinks from the US. I'm fond of root beer as well

Tim (1979)- I think this is one of Mel Gibson's best roles. He plays Tim Melville, a handyman with a learning disability, who bonds and falls in love with a teacher. I like the scenes with Alwyn Kurts, as Tim's dad, Ron. You really get a sense of how close they are, as father and son.

You don't see McVities Echo biscuits anymore. It had white chocolate on top the the biscuit and the biscuit was coated in milk chocolate.
