I’m looking for individual statistics It sounds like you’re talking about the most talented instead of the greatest. There’s a difference. Talent without the accomplishments is nothing to celebrate. The 2007 Cowboys were arguably the most talented team of the century, with a record number of pro bowl players, yet they got bounced in the first round of the playoffs by a team they had beat twice in regular season. No one celebrates the extraordinary talent of that team. Today it seems like most Cowboy fans would rather forget they ever existed. Dan Marino. Quite possibly the greatest waste of talent in the history of the NFL. Again, nothing to celebrate. Aaron Rodgers. In my view the most talented QB playing today, but he only has one ring and time is running out. If he doesn’t start producing, he’ll be the 2nd greatest waste of talent in NFL history. Peyton Manning. Tremendous talent. 1st round draft pick. Golden boy. Best known for frequently folding in the playoffs. Mr. One & Done. Mannings legacy is disappointment, not greatness. Tom Brady is certainly not the most talented QB to ever play the game, but his accomplishments peg him as the greatest ... which is what this thread is about. I hate to keep beating this dead horse but...that’s your subjective definition of what greatness means. It’s not universally agreed on.

I actually agree with most of this but would like to point out something, but if I’m misinterpreting something then that’s on me. When you say that Marino and Rodgers are wastes of talent, where are you laying the blame? Because in Marino’s entire career the front office that “built” the team did a terrible job. Marino wasn’t the GM then, he couldn’t pick the players. Same with Rodgers. McCarthy is not a great coach and their front office didn’t do their team any favors either, especially with refusing to sign free agents as a matter of policy. So yes, Marino and Rodgers came up small at times but it’s not completely their fault. I don’t think there is any doubt that greatness requires some degree of opportunity that is outside an individual’s control. That’s called life. When the great ones get lemons, they make lemonade. When Tom Brady gets scrub receivers, he adapts to their strengths and turns them into stars. When he gets a true top receiver, he throws 50 TDs. In Marino’s case, he was paired with the winningest coach in NFL history for his entire career ... so it’s kinda hard to feel sorry for him. One could argue that Rodgers was dealt a bad hand, getting drafted by Green Bay, but in the upper Parthenon of NFL greatness, do we really want it populated by individuals whose entry is built upon excuses? ... a sort of affirmative action for the unfortunate?

You guys are still going at it? I agree with Marv so far as the 'GOAT' being debatable; I only thought it was goofy that he said Brady never impressed him. Seemed a little disingenuous to me. Anyway Marv, liking your own post was pretty great, it never would've occurred to me. Well played.

Sometimes its hard to keep these conversations in perspective.

When you say that Marino and Rodgers are wastes of talent, where are you laying the blame? That's just another lame, bullshit attempt by King Kong Shady to build up Brady. The fact is Marino, Rodgers, and Manning are better QBs than Brady and all accomplished more with less. The only thing that Brady had that Marino, Rodgers, and Manning didn't have was Matt Walsh illegally filming opponents' signals from the sidelines and Jim "The Deflator" McNally illegally deflating footballs.

The fact is Marino, Rodgers, and Manning are better QBs than Brady You just spent the last day “liking” the posts of someone arguing that there are no facts that can determine who is the best. You are mighty confused there, cupcake. Sit down. LOL! Brady has accomplished more than all three of those guys, combined! The only way their accomplishments are going to surpass what Brady has done is if you plant fake facts in Wikipedia again.

I can see how someone might be impressed with those regular season performances by Manning. Post season, not so much.

I can see how someone might be impressed with those regular season performances by Manning. Post season, not so much. So long as you can see how impressive Manning can be. You’re coming a long way as a Patriots fan admitting that.

Brady wins in that regard as well. Only a GOAT of Brady’s immense stature can singlehandedly create a whole new sub-genre of football fan. The Perpetual Cry-baby.

Your claim that Brady is better because (as you admitted) Brady has more Super Bowls tainted by cheating and having asterisks that other QBs doesn't make Brady better. It's makes Brady worse. It like a QB claiming to better than other QBs because he leads the NFL in interceptions! LOL!!! A QB who leads the NFL in interceptions isn't better than the rest of the QBs in the NFL. And a QB who leads the NFL in tainted Super Bowl wins that have asterisk isn't better than other great QBs who all their Super Bowls legitimately without cheating and don't have any asterisks.

Oh dear ... someone managed to miss the word, make-believe. Now you’re gong to have to go back and redo your entire post. How embarrassing! I’m glad you brought up interceptions. Tom Brady’s interceptions are significantly lower than any of the other QBs under discussion. The idiot who is trying to say that another QB is better than Tom Brady because that QB has more interceptions, is you! I do believe you managed to punch yourself in the face, twice in one post. Well done, sport.

Oh dear ... someone managed to miss the word, make-believe.There's nothing make-believe about Brady's first 4 Super Bowl wins being tainted by cheating. Just like there's nothing make-believe about Jim "The Deflator" McNally illegally deflating footballs for Brady to use in games and nothing make-believe about the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals upholding Brady's suspension for cheating. Of course interceptions are going to be lower when your team illegally films opponents' signals from the sidelines like the Patriots did so you have the illegal advantage (like Brady had) of knowing before the play what the defensive play is. So you've basically admitted that Brady did indeed get a significant advantage from the Patriots' illegal filming of opponents' signals from the sidelines, which also isn't make-believe since the Patriots got caught in the act.

There's nothing make-believe about It’s all in your head, cupcake. Brady’s accomplishments are 100% legit. Period. End of story. That’s not the subjective opinion of a Patriots fan, it’s a fact, per the NFL. You want to read up on how super awesome Tom Brady is? Head on over to the NFL website. I believe he’s referred to as the GOAT quite frequently over there. If you’re looking for asterisks or tainted records, you’re going to have to request access to that dog-eared, hate filled notebook of yours, written in crayon, filled with all your loony conspiracy theories. I believe it’s stored in a plastic bag, labeled exhibit A.

There's nothing make-believe about It’s all in your head, cupcake. Brady’s accomplishments are 100% legit. Not according to the NFL. That’s not the subjective opinion of a Patriots fan, it’s a fact, per the NFL. That's the subjective and wrong opinion of a dumb Patriots fan. The fact, per the NFL, is the Patriots cheated during their first 3 Super Bowl winning seasons and Brady cheated in the 2014 AFC Championship Game. So all wins during those seasons are tainted by cheating and have asterisks.

Not according to the NFL. Yawn ... outright lies are soooo boring. Let me know when you find NFL asterisks next to any of Tom Brady’s accomplishments. Remember, if they are written in crayon, you put them there.

You Patriots fans have made excuses for SpyGate and DeflateGate. So what's your excuse for Brady's best friend Julian Edelman using PEDs? Julian Edelman facing four-game suspension for PEDs1st, SpyGate. Then, DeflateGate. Now, Edelman caught using PEDs. It's pretty clear that the Patriots are serial cheaters and their championships are tainted by cheating and have asterisks.
