well half of all life returned as well which they referred to when AntMan saw more birds after Hulk snap. So in theory the cattle and other food sources also came back as well. That's quite nonsensical. The whole point of the snap was to reduce the population of people so that the resources would leave those remaining better off. But if you wipe out half the people and simultaneously half the plants and animals, you're basically leaving them in the same place as they were before, at least with regards to anything biological. I don't think the snap included plants and animals, because it doesn't make sense that it would. Even if it did, though, it wouldn't help all that much. Crops have to be gathered, processed, and distributed. There wouldn't be enough infrastructure to do it. It's always been silly plan. In the comics it was a scam.Thanos isn't interested in population control to begin with and IW showed quite clearly that the universe had tons of room. Thanos was only ever interested in Death. The snap at a minimum did include animals, but I think it included plant life as well IW though did not show any plant life disappearing in Wakanda. Honestly when you consider the variety of alien life in the whole universe, it makes sense that he would not differentiate.

Should Tony have been able to survive? He didn't do what Thanos or Bruce did. They both affected trillions of people throughout the universe with their snaps. Tony only dusted...let's say tens of thousands of people maybe 100k - within a mile. Waaay smaller scale...but maybe that shouldn't matter... or maybe that's why the puny human lasted as long as he did. Something else that interests me is Red Skull's greetings. "Thanos, son of A'Lars." His father who presumably raised him... "Gamora, daughter of Thanos." Adoptive father, stole her from her family and raised her (for his own ends)... "Clint, son of Edith." Only mother he mentions...presumably a single mother for at least most of Clint's childhood. "Natasha, daughter of Ivan." Well for one, her 'real' name is Natalia... but he also said 'Clint' instead of his real name Clinton so I guess he's not entirely formal... More importantly, she said she didn't know his name, so he didn't raise her... I guess people in her assassin program did, or maybe multiple people did and no one person rated high enough for Red Skull to deem mentioning. He could have mentioned her mother but she must not have raised Nat much either if at all... 1. No Tony shouldn't have survived. He didn;t have a glove capable of handling the power although that was always a stupid addition to the story. If the stones create omnipotence, then it doesn't matter how many people are snapped. It's all the same and doable and the stones can protect the, The gauntlet should have only allowed the use f them together which it didn;t really do. Anyway, Stark shouldn't have even survived long enough to say bye. 2. I assume he's a mind reader as opposed to a historian, so he simply calls them as they see themselves.

Couple of things I've seen online that I either missed or didn't click when I first saw the film.... A report of "a massive seismic incident has occurred along the ocean floor". Namor related perhaps? Howard The Duck appears out of one of the portals during the final battle. He can be seen behind Wasp when she appears! I love Marvel but they REALLY NEED TO STOP TRYING TO MAKE HOWARD THE DUCK HAPPEN.

A missed opportunity I just thought of: It would've been nice to see a Captain Marvel/Nick Fury reunion, however brief, at some point in this film. It's not their story so I can see why they didn't focus on it, but even having Carol see Nick and giving him a hug or something during Tony's funeral would've been a nice touch. No dialog needed.

Did Tony Stark know how Thanos got the soul stone the first time around? Pretty sure Mantis and Nebula hinted pretty strongly at it in Infinity War, so was it deliberate to send Barton and Black Widow to get it?

She deduced that Gamora died, but there's no indication she thought Gamora had to die for Thanos to get the Soul Stone.

IRON MAN DIES!!!!!spoilers Annoyingly because of the size of this I did end up seeing this when I just went to sticky the thread. Never mind, I tried to let myself believe that you were bullshitting for the sake of it so it didn't ruin my enjoyment too much. So yeah I saw the movie, had to walk an hour there and back but I got there in the end. It was a good movie, I didn't know much of what to expect. I knew everyone was going to come back but I didn't know how they were gonna win or who was gonna die. I really had no idea. I don't think it was good as Infinity War, I dunno, maybe too much time was spent in the past. Could have probably used another action scene in there somewhere. Didn't like what they did with Thor too much. Funny at first but they're turning him into a joke a bit too much. He was fine in the last one but not so much here. The rest were done fine though. I was surprised how quickly they jumped into it with killing off the present Thanos. I wasn't expecting that so then i was wondering if they were gonna have another villain like other "leaks" suggested but nah. Iron Man dying was a shame....Cap using the hammer was cool I did think something like that might happen. Captain Marvel, I still don't care much for but it was cool to see her being all powerful. I was kinda hoping she would kick Thanos' ass at one point. I didn't care for the "girl power" bit, that was just so unnecessary. They had that in Infinity War when they fought one of the Black Order but that was alright there but here it was really forced. I was surprised by the inefficiency of the Stormbreaker though. It was super OP before and just blasted through a full power Infinity Gauntlet blast but here...Thor was still losing and Thanos just had a blade.

Well I was half expecting it anyway as was most so I did sort of think you were goofing around because it's like the "obvious" spoiler to make.
I did get spoiler about Superman dying in BvS. I wasn't happy about that one.

Wow, if the timeline didn't make sense before, this movie takes a baseball bat to it for sure. Wonder how long it will take them to acknowledge it has changed so much. Doesn't look like Far From Home will do it. There is now no timeline. No reliable sequence of events. No character is living and no character is dead. The entire MCU is in a state of superposition. There is no then, when, ever or, never. It's all happening right now. We're in a true multiverse and, Endgame was its Crisis. There is no spoon.

She had no husband in '45 Or, maybe she did and it was Steve Rogers. Interesting. But that means he basically never went outside. Because if anyone- a mailman, a waitress, a random dude on the street- sees Captain America walking around then a new timeline is created and Steve could not have returned to present day to see Falcon.

Honestly, I didn't really feel the presence of the stakes here. It felt more like a win-win situation to me.

I thought that Thanos was not so tough without the stones. Why is it that it takes Thor and Cap and Iron Man to all take him down even when he didn’t have the stones? I thought that Thor alone could fuck him up easily. The Russo’s said Thor got Thanos with the axe at the end of IW because it was a surprise attack, Thanks uses the stones poorly out of reflex and not in a premeditated manner. Thanos cleaned Hulk pretty easily without any stones (he wasn’t actively using the power stone at the time). So Thanos with a strong weapon defeating overweight Thor, retired Captain America and 55 year old iron man wasn’t beyond the realm of believability.
