Of the things I disagree with(which are pretty much everything) I especially disagree with Stark's sacrifice, it was well earned, made sense story wise and fit into his whole arc(which spans all the way back to the first Iron Man). It could have been written better, and not just his death scene with the gaunlet in hand (he wouldn't have been able to hold the power stones energy) What could have been written better is the time travel in relation to Tony. Instead of Russos taking the safe option of deploying branched timelines, where the past doesnt affect the future, they should have made it like DOFP (or most other timetravel movies) where the past DOES affect the future. In that case, a great decision would have to have been made by Tony Stark. Does he decide to go back in time to save trillions, including his fallen Avengers like Peter Parker OR does he decide not to because if he did he would lose his daughter who was born after the snap. That would have been a much more interesting arc for Tony. As it is, its played safe because he can save his daughter and save the world. The daughter in Endgame is just a sympathetic plot device to make us feel more for Stark. They actually brought in physicists to advise for this film and they confirmed that most time travel movies actually get it wrong. How Banner explains it is closer to how time travel would theoretically work. Furthermore, it allowed them to actually do something different and more original with time travel instead of being like all of the others. Their will also be lasting effects in future films and shows so that opens things up as well. Maybe not as clean as you prefer, but at least it stands out. And at least Stark's daughter in Endgame had more of an emotional impact than Magneto's daughter in Apocalypse. Actually most of the characters in the Fox-Men films are plot devices.

Ok they wanted to do something different with time travel, fair enough. But if it ends up being a cheap cop out later on where they bring dead characters back from the past then itll reduce the impact of endgame. Starks daughter and Erics daughter are both plot devices for sympathy. How can you say Starks had more of an impact, she didnt even cry her dads gone, all she wanted was a cheesburger lol. And you and I both know Disney would never in a million years allow a child to be killed on screen in such a visible manner like Erics daughter was in the forest. There goes many X-men stories they cant adapt because they're too violent and dark. I hope new mutants somehow gets released to show what could have been

Just because she wasn't crying melodramatically doesn't mean she wasn't sad and didn't miss her dad. She was just holding it in, which isn't unusual, especially with a lot of people around making her feel uncomfortable. And yes it had much more of an emotional impact especially when she saw the recording of her dad telling her how much he loved her, which was a callback to what she told him at the beginning of the film. Their playful banter earlier was also very sweet and genuine. They made us care about her in just a few short scenes. Compare that to Eric's cardboard cutout family. They were murdered and we couldn't care less. There are a lot of X-Men stories that can be adapted that don't require the on-screen murder of children. Not sure why you need that in your films. There's plenty of violence in the MCU films. Characters are beaten, bloodied and killed in several of the films. That scene with Ronin/Hawkeye and the Yakuza guy getting his throat slashed was pretty violent. How much does there need to be to qualify in your eyes? What is it with this whole obsession of yours with excessive violence and darkness? None of the animated series depicted that and those ran circles around the films. At a certain point, it just becomes gratuitous.

"Oh, mang. I have all these awesome original amazing thoughts about movies and stuff that nobody's stopping me from sharing, but instead I choose to instigate these meta-bitchfests that further contribute to the exact 'problems' I'm incessantly complaining about nonstop. If only people whose opinions and sense of humor I disliked were unilaterally banned from posting altogether I could feel like I've enough of a safe space to share my unrivaled genius; here's a sample of my incredibly original, intellectually scintillating unique ideas that I complain endlessly about not being able to have 'real' discussions about: the prequels sucked, pizza is overrated, and Spider-Mang 2 is better than Spider-Mang 3. Damn those Ackbars for inoffensively bothering nobody anywhere except me!!!!!!1" -- every Kuato post ETA: innit? Oh, hey... I don't really read your posts. I don't have you on ignore, I just make a concentrated effort to not read what you write. You're wasting your time talking to me. I'm not into your style of "conversation". Nah, it wasn't a waste at all. And your response was perfect. Carry on, and may the midicholorian-based Force be with you, kiddo.

Starks daughter doesnt need to be crying, shes fine, shes just holding it in! Thor doesnt need to be shown too downbeat to the point hes a drug addict, he can still be a comedy gag and also show some ptsd!! We can cut Starks alcoholic story because showing him have a small panic attack is enough!! The better explanation is Disney doesnt want to go too dark to scare kids. Sorry bud thats the truth. Xmen need a studio not conformist to SJW, PC, family friendly stringent rulebook. Plenty of critics and fans said that forest scene was the best in the movie. The emotion was real. More Xcuses. Look at how kiddy characters are treated in both franchises. Disney use them as cute little feelgood empathy characters like kid from iron man 3, baby groot, cassie from antman now stark daughter. None of them are in any danger. Fox uses them in more serious, threatning functions like the x2 with the horror like girl illusion from Mastermind, Laura chopping heads in logan, Nina getting killed onscreen with piercing arrow, young Eric Lenshar being traumatized at the concentration camps and soon to be little jean grey causing her parents death in dark Phoenix. Xmen under Disney will be a strangle hold, even more than you think fox has had. Pretty costumes and coolet fight scenes wont save it

That scene with Ronin/Hawkeye and the Yakuza guy getting his throat slashed was pretty violent. Ha they didnt even show the killing stab,it was off screen. You want a real brutal swordfight under pg13 watch this masterpiece of a scene And cool little extra, the same japanese guy is fighting Ronin in endgame

And you don't have to worry about Disney/MCU anymore since you're done with them. Or can we just assume otherwise? I think we all know you'll be first in line and back here complaining like you always do with each new film. You seem to enjoy frustrating yourself. X-Men is rightfully back where they belong and that's just the way it is. The good news is that Dark Phoenix is coming and you've got your old Fox-Men movies to rewatch until you turn blue in the face. So, do yourself a favor and go watch DOFP again, be happy and make sure to close the door on your way out.

I will be first in line for the disney xmen reboot though in 5 years or whenever, it will be a good laugh

Obviously going into Infinity War, I think everyone knew, even the casual movie goers, knew all the characters wouldn't be dead, and that's the point. The real outcome was gonna be who wouldn't come back in the next film when the OG Avengers tried to reverse the snap and go after Thanos. Obviously everyone knew about RDJ's and Evans contracts being done, so it wasn't surprising one of them was going to die, but Stark's death was handled sublimely and as much as I don't agree with their decision, Cap came to a full circle. But the real shock though was Black Widow's death, who's arguably still the best representation for a strong female character in the Marvel films (don't care that they're pushing Captain Marvel for that) and a lot of fans loved her! She had some of the best scenes and dialogue with Captain America.

End Game treated time travel like a joke, the whole infinity saga was waste of time. Next cop out it was all just a dream.

Either way I guess you've done your job as DC-Fan will likely like your post, respond to it, and we'll see even more pages of people owning him as we see regularly elsewhere.

Days of future past is a more mature movie and less Disney ''comic booky'' I can sometimes hardly stand about today's superhero movies.
What Endgame did better than DOFP was it used more main characters instead of killing them off and focusing mostly on Mystique. Apart from that DOFP is better for every intensive purposes.
MCU dropped the ball with many aspects of Endgame. Predictable plot, time travel, fat Thor, Thanos was a weak villain which was surprising compared to Infinity War, generic last battle. Blame Disney as usual for dumbing down Marvel.
I would now like to see DC do a Flashpoint movie.
