It looks like there will be two separate continuities. So you foresee the Robert Pattinson franchise, and a separate older current day Batman (say Jon Hamm?) that only appears in Justice League/team up movies? Is that what you mean?
Personally, I could live with that. Its the other fans that get crazy. "I'm confused!!!"
That would be cool but it looks like they are doing the multiverse thing. I wish it was all the same universe tho.

So people did see Wonder Woman being heroic in 1984. And that is not long enough for people to forget about metahumans and be surprised by Superman. Well, 1984 was before everyone had cell phones so there wouldn't have been videos posted on the Internet. So for people who weren't there to see Wonder Woman in person (which would be most of the world), they probably think the stories are an urban myth. It would be like the stories of the alien crash in Roswell in 1947. Some people who were there in Roswell know what really happened, but for people who weren't there in Roswell to see it in person (which was most of the world), those are just unconfirmed stories and rumors. Also, MoS Kal-El wouldn't have arrived on Earth until after 1984.

Assuming MoS takes place in 2013, that would mean that he definitely landed on Earth before 1984.

I'm thinking they are sorta rebooting the DCEU into a multiverse. Wonder Woman 84 might be a sequel to Wonder Woman, but it isn't a part of the Snyder trilogy. In the Snyder trilogy she went away after Wonder Woman. Nobody knew about her outside of the people in World War 1. But in WW84, they show her operating in the open. So people did see Wonder Woman being heroic in 1984. And that is not long enough for people to forget about metahumans and be surprised by Superman. Oh boy, it’s Fox-men all over again.

Clark was 33 years old in 2013, if he was say 3 or so when he landed ( like he was in the 78 film ) that would mean he had been living on Earth for about 30 years, and had landed around 1983. Since Patty Jenkins claims there is a very specific reason the film is set when it is, it's possible that they will show the landing in the new film and/or have WW witness it.

I think Kal El's trip to Earth was an almost instant warp. Since they can open gates. They showed his birth at the beginning of the movie.

People videotaped things and sent it to the news. Hell, field reporters would be all over D.C. Especially government buildings.
Yes, but people were surprised about the super man in 2013. If there was a woman doing the same things that Superman can do back in 1984, they wouldn't immediately think that he was a threat. They'd want to know if he was connected to her. I mean, they both are wearing blue, red and yellow with very similar power set. And they both have very similar looks. They might even think that she was his mother and that's why she went away after 1984.

I wouldn’t count on there being another Justice League movie anytime within the next decade. Unfortunately, you might be right.
Unless... Unless, they have some director come in who creates a monster hit for them! And then maybe they'll let him/her spearhead it. Kinda like MCU did with the Russo Brothers.
DCEU needs a Russo Brothers!

I thought I heard something about that a while back. Surprised nobody else in the thread had, I'm not even a fan of the DCEU. Nothing about the stupidity of DC Fan surprises me, however.

Like James Wan? I wish. But I think his heart is in horror, and that's where he'll return, aside from maybe Aquaman sequels.

Like James Wan? No, like he said, like the Russo brothers. James Wan did an adequate job with Aquaman ... but in the end, he couldn't even beat Captain Marvel. An obscure superhero that most of the movie going public never even heard of. I guess that's a win if you have already accepted the fact that you can never really compete with the MCU.

Didn’t Aquaman make more money than Captain Marvel worldwide?
