The situation you speak of cannot really be applied to what you are arguing, both Connery and Moore were very well-known and well-established as 007 so audiences were game to see more of one and the other in the role, and it was a rights situation which sparked there to be two James Bond movies in the same year. Please note that Octopussy and Never Say Never Again were not meant to compliment one another they were intended to compete against one another, the scenario is more akin to where you had two Hercules movies the same year(2014), two Snow White movies the same year(2012), etc. the event is defined as being 'twin films', more examples from Wikipedia - linkTimes are different these days in the age of the 'cinematic universe', most people expect some kind of linkage with big franchises now, as it stands the Joker movie coming out has not really made it clear to the general movie going public on whether or not its stand alone or in line with any recent other DC movie. We know it isn't and is totally stand alone, but how are some people going to figure that one out? The DC logo is the same one used, whereas Marvel Studios has a very different logo for their movies than studios who make their own separate Marvel movie, in which case its just 'Marvel' with no montage of any MCU movie but near 20 year old version that Kyle Cooper of Se7en fame created. As far as logos are concerned, DC does have their own opening logo that they’ve been using from WW onward. I’m assuming Joker won’t have it. True, but its still the same styled font and is just 'DC', not 'DC Black Label' or 'DC/VERTIGO'.

I think you really should have re-read thisguy4000's before responding, otherwise you would see that they were *assuming* the Joker movie wouldn't have the DC cinematic opening logo that we have had since Wonder Woman in 2017, nobody has seen the movie yet. However, the DC logo is still just 'DC' and has the same styled font, not a whole lot of brand separation - oh sure you can add a different color scheme and effects to match a particular character but its still the same font and abbreviation.

No, most of the general public knows the X-Men are/were from Fox, while Avengers are from Disney/Marvel. All of the smart ones that is.

When did five people become the equivalent to 7 billion+? And have you considered those tweets were not intended to be taken seriously?

Both films involve a debate as to whether there should be oversight of the activities of superheroes in the aftermath of deadly incidents involving superheroes in African countries. Both films include a villain who schemes to pit superheroes against each other, and both films involve a bombing of a gathering of officials trying to resolve the debate. Both films also each reference a preceding film in their respective series involving a battle between superheroes and supervillains resulting in mass civilian casualties. WOW! What a rip-off! And if you scroll a little further down the list you quoted from... Captain Marvel Shazam! Both are films about a superhero named “Captain Marvel” and are in a cinematic universe (MCU for Captain Marvel; DCEU for Shazam!) WOW! What a rip-off!
