Let's see if this thread gets more replies than a shitty thefleetsin poem.

Here's one. I am not sure if the YouTube videos you post are of better quality than thefleetsin poems. I did the same thing with your video than I usually do with thefleetsin poetry: Didn't watch it.

"Unvaccinated Children Pose Zero Risk to Their Vaccinated Counterparts."
Could they have missed the point any more? It was most likely intentional. The threat is not to vaccinated children, the threat is to children who are unvaccinated for a legitimate reason - allergies and other real conditions that make vaccines unsafe for those particular children. So we have a textbook case of moving the goalposts.

The threat is not to vaccinated children, the threat is to children who are unvaccinated for a legitimate reason - allergies and other real conditions that make vaccines unsafe for those particular children. So we have a textbook case of moving the goalposts. And could you have missed the point anymore? I mean the point about minding your own business. Parents have traditionally had power over their children's choices, that's different. If parents believe their children will benefit from vaccinations then the children cannot use the "mind your own business" argument against their parents because children are their parents' business. But if parents are not convinced the possibility of benefits outweighs risks then someone does need to mind his own business. Guess who? Did you intentionally overlook the fact that you are not minding your own business? Have you really lost all track? What's happened here is that you have placed the government in the role of parents. Many people had no responsible parents and depended all their lives on government to replace their parents. They naturally assume government should have the power of parents. They like being slaves to government because it relieves them of all responsibility. They're like children who aren't prepared for responsibility. Their only concept of what is "right" comes from their parents. The only concept of "right" for too many parents comes from government that has replaced parents for many generations now. The government is driven by popular opinion and while quite many people do admire science they are not really capable of it. Therefore government cannot represent science properly. If it minds its own business it can get out of the way of science though. If science can make convincing arguments for vaccinations then parents will allow them without force of government. If parents can get that wrong then government can too.

The threat is not to vaccinated children, the threat is to children who are unvaccinated for a legitimate reason - allergies and other real conditions that make vaccines unsafe for those particular children. So we have a textbook case of moving the goalposts. And no one ever said Russia "hacked the vote". They just "meddled in the election", right? But somehow everybody was lead to believe. How convenient. I know you've already seen the other recent thread here on vaccination, and you didn't bother to correct a single person who insisted just that, that the unvaccinated are indeed a threat to the vaccinated. Herd immunity does supposedly apply to the vaccinated. The refrain you personally have repeated many times is that vaccines are not 100% effective, therefore it's the fault of the unvaccinated if a vaccinated child gets sick. This is a religious issue for you. Vaccines are good, therefore in any instance, you must be right/righteous, even as your own views are changing. You come out guns blazing without even the slightest memory of what you yourself have said in the past, because you never really understood it anyway. Is mercury sensitivity a "legitimate reason" not to be vaccinated? It wasn't in the past, because there wasn't any way to test for it. What happens when news tests like these force more and more admissions to be made? The story will continue to change. This idea that everyone needs to be vaccinated in order to protect people with allergies, is ill conceived too. Why is the emphasis on demonizing the unvaccinated rather than the diseased? People with measles need to stay home, whether they were vaccinated or not. People with allergies need to be cautious, not because someone they encounter might be unvaccinated, but because someone might be contagious with measles, and perhaps the vaccinated are more of a danger than the unvaccinated in this sense. It's called "risk compensation", like when you drive faster because you have a seatbelt. Infections may also be more virulent in the vaccinate because of immune derangement, which has been the case more often than not in the past. Herd immunity is all a fantasy anyway for the one simple reason that adults by and large do not get booster shots. These diseases are not prevelant anymore for other reasons, like hygiene and sanitation. So don't worry about the unvaccinated. Worry about third worlders and sewage which contains reinvigorated live vaccines, which is how most outbreaks start now. The unvaccinated tend to be affluent urban neurotic germaphobes. They won't even eat GMO because of the pesticides. This is just a bogey man for you.

Those who disregard parental power over children in this instance are not consistent.
I am not saying I agree with the principle of parental power btw.

I'm trying to give likes to saoradh, Arlon10, and scienceisgod, but it won't let me.
Also, it says the video is unavailable now. Strange. I hope she hasn't been demonetized. Lot of YouTubers complaining about that lately.

This is such a great example of an "anti-vax" stance. The first sentence is just pure hilarity. "Demonize the diseased"? The second sentence is, among other reasons, why: measles is contagious from around 4 days onward, yet its symptoms can manifest up to 8 days or later. Kids walk around with no idea they have measles and they're already contagious. In essence, it's just another truthy Youtube argument, based on nothing. Here's a nice, simple model of how disease (in this case measles) spreads based on vaccination rates, followed by a super-simple explanation of the dynamic. It's got colors and animations and everything... my nod to the Youtube set. Check it out: www.theguardian.com/society/ng-interactive/2015/feb/05/-sp-watch-how-measles-outbreak-spreads-when-kids-get-vaccinated

Explain how they are ignorant Actually I never read your response, I assumed that it was in the same vein and Arlon and Science. But to be fair I am not really sure what your response is trying to say, are you suggesting that parents have the rights to withhold vaccinations? what would you base those rights on and to what extent would you allow parents to exercise them?

Parental power over their children is not absolute...especially when it may result in harm to the child. Otherwise, child abuse and neglect wouldn't be a thing.

It would help if the commentary was not put through a voice alter and that they could actually read. Never heard so much guff in my life.
That at said I find it astounding that the US vaccinated against such simple childhood diesel as chicken pox. Every time there is an outbreak of chicken pox at my daughter nursery I go an rub her against the kids. Best to have it now than later.
