All I've got ones about the Covid19 hoax, and something tells me you're not going to be interested in them either. I'm more interested in what makes people tick than what they're ticking about. I'm sorry, did you think we were talking about the ISS? Because I thought you were just using it as an example, hence why it was in brackets. I was using it as an example; an example of how a falsehood can continue to be accepted as truth because people are so reluctant to admit they've been conned.

Well, now that we're both recapping the chat we just had, can we talk about gaslighting? Specifically, I'm curious as to what made you think I was attempting to make you question your own sanity.

Stupid people convince themselves that they're smart. Wicked people convince themselves that they're good. And even good people convince themselves that their government is committed to being honest with them.

As for believing something you know isn't true - or vice versa - I didn't mean you specifically. However, if you, Erjen, do indeed believe the lies you tell yourself, perhaps the shoe fits and that little glimmer of reality was introspective.

I mean, you know it's a lie because you're the one telling it... Of course, I could believe it....if I allowed it. I guess what you're getting at is that a lie by definition must be known as false by the teller, whereas I'm just using the word in a more general sense.

A lie is a deliberate untruth. Someone who tries to pass a math test but fails doesn't do so because he lied.

If lie is the wrong word, pray tell me the right word.

Who said every woman is? The question is do heterosexual women exist. That's not even close to the same thing. Who said heterosexual women don't exist? The OP, in a round about kind of way.

I could provide enough evidence to support the notion that covid-19 was invented to help save Big Tobacco by destroying the vaping market. In fact, I could present a very believable case for it. But is that really where the evidence leads me, or it is just my interpretation of the evidence? It's easy to get so involved and so passionate about what you believe that you become (willfully?) blind as to who or what the leader actually is. Anything can be found if you look hard enough, even if it isn't really there. Conspiracy theorists look for conspiracies... Whatever you have to tell yourself, John. I've never said there isn't a real space station because I don't know, but if there is a real one why don't they show us real videos of it, instead of these CGI specials? Where is your proof that they are CGI specials? Nothing you have posted so far proves anything.

If you don't want to believe what you do believe, then you aren't deciding for yourself. Well if I'm not deciding for myself who is? The people who post conspiracy theories on YouTube, that's who.

You can tell yourself whatever you want to, but this is about whether or not you're choosing to believe it. No matter how much I want to believe that I'm not sitting at a desk right now composing a response to you, I just can't...at least not rationally. And I can tell myself that two plus two equals negative seven thousand, but I couldn't believe it. It is impossible to lie to oneself. Baloney. People lie to themselves every day. They can even look at the botched ISS videos and still manage to convince themselves that the videos have been altered by conspiracy theorists. How do you know for certain that they haven't?

I'd love to, but do you have something else? I don't care about the ISS. All I've got ones about the Covid19 hoax, and something tells me you're not going to be interested in them either. Here's the thing, you yourself said that you want to believe that it's true (specifically the ISS) and yet you deliberately search for conspiracy theory videos and almost do yourself physical harm in your rush to believe them, and then do yourself further harm in your rush to berate anyone who doesn't. You're an intelligent man, that's not for debate, so it doesn't make sense that you never ask yourself 'is this video claiming a conspiracy genuine?'.

Someone posted a video of the fake astronauts wearing their Super Bowl Jerseys over their cute little NASA flight suits while pretending they were floating aboard the ISS, and it was pointed out that the last shuttle flight to the ISS was before the playoffs were over. Shortly after that NASA released a damage control video of the jerseys for all the teams being unpacked. From there other videos started being recommended on my YouTube channel, and I watched them. Why should I not? The ISS videos are faked right here on earth, and every time you harass me about it I'm simply going to post more videos exposing it, so the intelligent thing for you to do would be to back away and say nothing. You're doing your cause more harm than good by keeping this dialogue going.

Is it because you're part of that right-wing and therefore know better?
