That's a shot at you Boston and 'New England'  You won't be pleased by this but I will hypothetically be including the Patriots under Boston (not that we'll have to worry about the Patriots turning up on this list anytime soon). That's ok, you can subtract the Pats from Boston sports and it's still WAAAAAAAAY more successful than Philadelphia sports ever has been. |

New Orleans will be underwater so we won’t hear from Movieliker anymore. Tom Brady will accumulate 4 more rings, prompting Rey to put a hit on Belichick. President Harris will be in control forcing Millar to move to Canada. Wolf will ask us our 20 favorite championships of the 20s. The Mets, Knicks, Jets, and Giants will collectively accumulate 7 wins - Klawrencio will only be showing up here for Netflix recommendations. Nutsberry will be found running a crab shack in Key West. And Frank? Frank will be laying on a beach, earning 20%, with Tiffani Amber Thiessen Sobotka at his side living happily ever after. He'll still insist that he'd rather be underwater than have to deal with snowstorms, like people in the Northeast.

Snowstorms are deadly and they occur every single day! What even are hurricanes? A little bit of wind. Sure, there's the occasional evacuation every year or so, but who cares? I've met multiple people who've said that snowstorms are cold.

We have a few posters who love to brag about their city's past sporting accomplishments. This thread will aim to keep the somewhat more current record straight over the next decade. I give cities a better rank for success or Finals appearances in multiple different sports as opposed to just one sport. Also, for the purpose of this list, I consider titles won by calendar years rather than season years. I'll bump at the conclusion of every NA "big 5" sports pro championship from here until the 2029 MLS Cup Final. So for Australia it would be looking:
Sydney: 3-2 :Sixers winning the BBL in 20 and 21, and Sydney FC winning the A-League in 2020 and 2 runners-up, 1 by the Kings in the NBL in 20, 1 by Penrith in the NRL, also in 20
Melbourne: 2-2: Richmond Tigers winning the 2020 AFL Grand Final, Melbourne Storm winning the 2020 NRL with 2 runner-ups, 1 by the Stars in BBL 20, 1 by Melbourne City in 20 A-League.
Perth: 1-1: Wildcats 2020 NBL Champs and 1 runners-up with the Scorchers in BBL 21.
So close and yet so far
Geelong 0-1, Cats lost the 20 Grand Final.
If there's ever a national domestic Rugby comp I'll need to add it. With domestic Netball also increasingly gaining acceptance as a mainstream sport in Oz it might need to be added retrospectively in a few years. But I'll sit and wait on that one.

Title Town Tampa looks to be in a great position to add to its lead. Win or lose the Stanley Cup Final, at the very least it's another Final berth to buttress its rank. Phoenix also just took out Tampa's main contender in LA.

Hey, you forgot...whoever it is what won the WNBA title! To clear this up early (and prevent the furious debate that would surely follow) I will not be including the WNBA. That said, I could be convinced to include MLS Cups. WNBA should definitely count. |
