Can you please be more specific? It is really hard to tell what is an actual point in a badly written generalised China bash! Goz, stop trying to bait people into getting banned. Thanks. Awwwww! You won't let me have ANY fun!

edit: Oh wait! Is it just a generalise Covid denial without any substance? There's this for starters--no mention of the China virus at all:
Jan 2020: Some 3 billion trips are expected to be made during the 2020 Chunyun period, a slight increase from last year's figure (2.99 billion trips). Of those, 2.43 billion trips will be made by automobile (1.2% fewer than last year), 440 million by rail (a rise of 8%), 79 million by air (an 8.4% increase) and 45 million by sea (a 9.6% increase). These figures are indeed staggering. But fret not, China has already planned ahead. On Thursday, a day before Chunyun officially began, China's State Council Information Office hosted a joint press conference with seven departments including the National Development and Resort Commission and the Ministry of Transport to announce this year's stats and the special measures taken for this year's Spring Festival rush.
I'd like to know what party Merkel, Johnson, Tom Hanks, and Prince Charles attended to get the virus by April.
Pretty targeted virus spread...

I just want to make sure that you have read admin's recent post... IF you say yes, then I will answer you. No I havent read it. I am only posting the information that is readily available. You'll see that CNN page is real. Also you can look up the news on Merkel and Tom Hanks and all the people who said they got the virus back in March-Aoril. I think unless it becomes illegal to ask questions--and certainly could be the case the way things are going, I am just wondering how the spread of this illness is so celebrity and western focused. Maybe someone can explain that. If one is banned asking these questions then I guess we already know the answer.
Only a few years ago people were saying how crazy it was to cover your face for religion and look-people are covering it because someone ate a bat halfway around the globe. Not even Douglas Adams could have written a fictional story about it-because it would sound like sheer lunacy.

I will help you as I am nice like that!' IMDB2.freeforums.net/post/4573729Then I will tell you a few things that shoot your stupid arguments and points down in flames, starting with the link which you posted being from early January 2020 before covid was known about in any real way and the co-incidence of Chinese New Year being unfortunately at a crucial time of spread, especially to Europe via the workers from the textile factories around Milan who went home to Wuhan for their holidays( similar to US Thanksgiving ) and then returned unknowingly with the virus.....for starters.

It was being reported by then. Locking people in houses and them passing out in the streets. All by the end of December. But hey they were all good for traveling by January!
It is strange that all these world leaders got the virus but not the leader of China. Amazing spread that virus has. It's so picky. It knew where to go to maximize press coverage.

You can't determine what the direct repercussions/consequences of any given statement of misinformation is because you don't know who's reading it and who's taking (or not taking) actions based on it; but it's easy to realize that if you let everyone everywhere go around saying "masks don't work, it's just the government trying to control us!" that SOME people are going to listen to it and not wear a mask and thus increase the spread of the virus, which will inevitably increase deaths from said virus. Plus, privately owned companies have a right to decide how to handle people who spread such misinformation, and ProBoards has decided on banning them. Some days I wonder how people are smart enough to cross the street without getting run over. I've been yammering for years about how people are deeply, fundamentally irrational and are easily misled by biases and thus by rhetoric, lies, myths, woo, etc. We just literally had a large portion of our country believing everything a proven liar and conman said, many enough that they decided to storm the US Capitol based on those lies. We also have a sizable portion of people believing in stuff like a flat-earth, QAnon, Illuminati, lizard people, crisis actors, pizzagate, etc. You think these people are "smart enough to make up their own minds" and get to the truth? C'mon, man. You can call it condescension if you want, but it doesn't take a genius to realize how alarmingly stupid people can be. Of course any private owned company can decide on their protocols, but that isn't the point. Anything could be considered misinformation and misleading, yet it doesn't mean they can determine what any 'alleged' injurious and dangerous repercussions are to the public. Who are we really being protected by, the Nanny State??? Those in the establishment could also be considered to be propagating misleading and misappropriating information? Look at all the s<>t the MSM stirs up, covid hysteria, riots in the streets, and FEAR. How dangerous is that, yet you seem to think it is all in our best interests. To refer to CV is an influenza, when it shares the same genus and part of the same family of corona, is misleading how? What will happen to the world Eva? Julian Assange leaked misleading information which is seen as a threat to national security and he had to go into exile and is now imprisoned. Whose misleading information was it really that he leaked and how dangerous is it that he leaked it? A consequence of bulls<>t more likely. Where CV is concerned, of course that is taboo, that is part of the narrative for distraction. You are provoking Eva and then getting on your soap box about what you consider misinformation. What authority do you have? You are being a brownnosing creep and suck up to the establishment too. How disempowering for you. I guess for people who don't care about facts, statistics, information, truth, etc. anything could be considered misinformation. Fortunately, back in the world of reality, most sane people do still hold to the belief that facts and truth are valuable, that experts have good access to those things, and that we can trust the advice of such people. So for us, "misinformation" is anything that contradicts those things. It's also an obvious, inevitable consequence that if you let people spread misinformation that some people are going to listen and thus do things that get them and others sick or killed. You can call it a "Nanny State" or whatever insults you want to throw around, but the statistics alone show how bad things have been and you can look at pictures of any Trump rally to see how many people refused to listen to experts. If people are going to act like toddlers then they deserve to be treated like them. Again, if you want to provide any actual evidence of "the establishment" (you're only a step away from starting on about the "Deep State") spreading "misleading" information, or the MSM stirring up "CV hysteria" and fear, feel free to actually post it rather than just claiming it. At second paragraph. First, you do realize that even "same genus, part of the same family" is not the same thing, right? If I refer to a jaguar as a lion, that also would be wrong despite them being part of the same genus and family. Second, the people who compare CV to flu are doing so in order to make CV seem less dangerous than it is when it's both more contagious than the flu and causes far more serious illnesses in far more people. Also, Assange didn't leak "misleading" information, he leaked "classified" information that some deemed threatening to US security. Hardly the same thing. And you're getting up on your soap box about what you consider the "establishment" and "fear mongering" and other such nonsense. I have no authority, I just have a belief that facts and truth matter, that health experts should be listened to especially in times of a health crisis, and that idiots like you are a public health hazard because your stupidity is as contagious and dangerous as the virus itself.

He's on another board. I know someone taking a trip to China for 2 months to install some theme park stuff. Does anyone really believe that China, with its population density and notorious pollution sanitation issues, could fight an illness that was extremely serious? There is no way on Earth. So either they haven't fought it and are being ravaged by it... Clearly someone wasn't paying attention when CV first hit--I'm talking before it even hit the US--because there were dozens, maybe hundreds of cellphone videos coming from China of the extreme tactics the government were using to "fight" the virus, including dragging people off the streets and nailing people into their homes and having huge trucks driving down streets spraying disinfectant everywhere. China is the draconian, authoritarian, "Nanny State" that conspiracy theorists like to believe the US is, and any country with that level of governmental control can easily fight a virus using extreme force to control and limit the freedoms of its people. Compare that to the US where the most we did was shut down businesses and "ask" people to wear mask and socially distance. Can you imagine what would've happen if the US government had started nailing people into their houses and dragging them off the street? There was a thread on Politics from early last year that had a lot of those videos if you care to search for it.

He received leaked classified information and published it. The part of the same classified information was also published by New York Times, the Guardian and other news media.

It is kinda weird that you still feel that you have to spread conspiracy theories about Covid on here, however, kowing the possible consequences. I am stating information that is easily available (at least for now).
Supposedly China, despite massive population density, horrible pollution, and stone age sanitation standards (videos of their public washrooms are considered a horror show-you can see them online) was able to beat this virus AND then spread out around the world by January like everything was ok without it spreading through their entire country during those 3 billion trips they boasted about.
They can't even secure window panes in their skyscrapers--they fall into the streets--they have a town so polluted by coal that plants wont grow--yet supposedly, these societal geniuses, they could beat this virus within a month or so-while the West can't after a year? Canada had masks all through the spring--and yet--it's way worse now...so much for the 2 week shutdown.
I would have expected Canada to have been hit very hard in the spring considering how many Chinese come into the country back and forth.
As I said, I know a guy going there for two months. He is from Los Angeles.
You cant walk down the street in Los Angeles without a mask, but he can go to China... I thought he was joking when he told me.

I don't trust the Chinese official numbers. Besides, authoritarian countries have an easier time enforcing measures on the population, Yeah but they couldnt even stop their overpopulation--they had to give up on their one child policy --which in itself shows how fucked up a society they are.
There's no way this virus can be contained by China, authoritarian or not--and i know their population is much more mono and lacks individuality but even then with their numbers and their dirty behavior--NO WAY. So something about the truth of the situation is not measuring up.
I think it's the modern version of Duck and Cover. They used that scare people in the 50s--and I think we are inundated with scaremongering in the media--pravda of the West.
