The Buffy The Vampire Star is a Trump supporter and says if Trump gets cut because of his capitol riot involvement from Home Alone 2 , a movie written by John Hughes, then she wants her appearances in Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, also both written by John Hughes, cut out as well as a consequence for cutting out Trump from Home Alone 2.
I'm with the people below in thinking that she won't be missed if she gets cut out of these films.

Censorship of any kind should not be tolerated in a “free” society. It’s a dangerous small step they are potentially taking if this Trump removal for HA2 is acted upon.

She wasn't missed from the Buffy franchise, I'm sure she won't be missed from these movies.

Well don’t cut her out of The Phantom, then the movie wouldn’t make a lick of sense.

But, the revelation of Ferris Bueller's absence, that's the best work she ever did! I gotta go find the Bluray, just in case she gets her way.

Kirk Cameron will find a kitchen scene for her.

The Trump scene was great 28 years ago. Kristy was great in those two movies. Do not cut these scenes out of the movies.

I don't think it works that way.

Here I'll translate: "I'm a washed up has been and I'm just peddling this nonsense as a way to gain some modicum of relevance." Now with that aside, I don't think Trump get removed form the film (otherwise you could make the argument to get rid of countless reprehsible people in films). Besides it's not up to her to remove herself from Hughes films (the rights belong to the studio), it's just useless right wing virtue signaling.

Why is there no talks about removing Trump from the Little Rascals movie? Is it because nobody gives a shit about it?

I think editing Trump out after the fact is stupid, but I wasn't even aware Swanson was in those films.

Personally, I think the chance of Trump's cameo being cut in any permanent way is nil, but I could see some cable channel editing him out when they air the movie just for a laugh. As for Swanson, I honestly forgot she was in those movies. She was hot back in the day, sad to see she went full Trumptard.

Between her and all the other celebrities fighting with her on Twitter - please listen when I say that I don’t fucking care.
Don’t change movies because you’re offended by someone in it. Grow up and move on.

Cutting somebody from a movie or anything simply because you don`t like their politics or they have offended you is just stupid, i mean i could be wrong but as far as i know this is something only people on the left is doing, i am not familiar with anybody on the right doing that.
Of course i could be wrong, but i have so far only heard and seen it being done by people on the left that wants to remove things from movies they find offensive.

Kristy Swanson is awesome. I have seen in a her in a bunch of stuff. Should have been a bigger star.
And I couldn't care any less about her politics.
Yawn!

I'm really just so tired of hearing about Trump one way or the other. He's not the President anymore, it's official, please everyone just stop talking about him and any stupidity that comes from those who love or hate him. And stop all this talk of film censorship, leave films as is unless it's an extended director's cut.

You are making far too much judgement on her due to your skewered bias and what you are saying is similar to what Swanson is saying regardless. She has just used her film appearances as an example to point out the absurdity of it. I'd also say Swanson is less washed up than you are. "You are making far too much judgement on her due to your skewered bias" My "skewered bias"? You're the one that uses "woke" in pretty much every post you make. Besides everyone has a "bias", so this is a non argument. "what you are saying is similar to what Swanson is saying regardless." How so? "She has just used her film appearances as an example to point out the absurdity of it." She she used a riddiculous non threat (taking her self out movies even though she has no actual authority to do so) and I pointed out why it won't happen (it's up to the studio, not her) to score "woke points" with right wing idiots, so yeah "useless right wing virtue signaling" is rather accurate. "I'd also say Swanson is less washed up than you are." Uh good one, are you gonna resort to "I am rubber, you are glue" while you're at it too? Do you think petty insults count as an argument?

The rubber/glue thing is exactly what you were expressing in the first place. I just pointed it out to you. Denial of context I see. Uh no, I presented an actual argument, you presented a petty insult. Notice how you didn't address anything else I've said.

People underestimate how far deep fake has become and how good voice modification has as well, replacing someone in a movie isn't as unthinkable as it used to be, look to those videos of William Shatner's younger self onto Chris Pine's face in the newer Star Trek films.
With that said, no, definitely do not edit her out of those movies, and don't edit out Trump from any of the movies or TV shows he has appeared in either. Art itself owes no apology, only the artist does if they see the need to but the work itself should be left to exist even if you do not like it.
