Friends. I just don't understand the hype at all. I totally agree. Watched one episode, and that was enough for me. And while I'm at it, I'll throw in How I Met Your Mother; Two and a Half Men; and The Big Bang Theory. All totally overrated and completely unfunny. Without the sweetened studio laughter, they'd be deadly.

The Sopranos. I watched a few episodes, but I stopped watching because it was too boring.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (although admittedly, I didn't watch it beyond the 1st season).

Game of Thrones. Sibling sex and dragons and all of a sudden it's the greatest show on TV? Please. Yeah because that's all the show is about.

Arrested development - I never got the hype. It was more depressing than funny.

Mine is Mad Men. Great and accurate period piece and great characters and cast (Especially Don+Peggy), but absolutely nothing really going on. I have seen tv shows that more happen in 1 season than the entire Mad Men seasons( all 7) combined?I have never been so bored in my life. You should only watch it if you lived during this period and know all the references, otherwise you will be lost half the time. The series finale was atrocious too. Characters and the period setpieces and references are all all this show really has. I really really wanted to like it and while some critics claim its one of the best series, others say its an overrated snoozefest. I am forced to agree with the latter. I wouldnt recommend it. Has anyone else ever seen totally overated shows before? Stranger Things. I don't think it deserves the high ratings it has on IMDb. Everything about it is a re-hash of things we've seen before: E.T., The Goonies, Super8, etc. etc.

The Wire. First of all, if you don't consider it the greatest show ever made, it's automatically overrated because so many do. On top of that, when the show is good, it's really good, but you still have two bad seasons out of five to contend with. I also found Stranger Things way overhyped. Okay, two brothers stuck everything they liked from their childhood in a blender. So? Nothing new came out, just mushed up versions of ET and Stephen King. Agree about Stranger Things
However, I don't recall a bad season of The Wire.
Season 5 had a lot of weaknesses, but I take your point, it wasn't solidly bad as a season.

"Married...With Children "-I get it that most family sitcoms were kind of syrupy sweet, but the Bundys would have had me slitting my wrists in real life after an hour. The audience always screaming didn't help matters any. I was also not too fond of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
