Seinfeld. It's mildly amusing at times, but it's reputation as the greatest sitcom of all time is a mystery to me. Costanza is worth watching it...but Jerry, espcecially his stand ups at the beginning: I thought US stand up comedy was good?

Yeah because that's all the show is about. That is all the shows about. Yeah....... Except no.

I was a fan of the Song of Ice and Fire novels well before Game of Thrones was ever a show.

I'm a fan, but I also agree the show is overrated.... Oh, I don't think it's overrated (or at least for the most part), it's just that I hate the fan-pleasing Stark family crap that has been going on recently. And I don't think its gonna get any better in season 7 either...not with Jon Snow going down on his aunt. *blegh* What is wrong with a show being fan pleasing? Isn't that kind of the point of any entertainment?

Definitely the show Billions . IMPO - All the characters seem extremely hateful and backstabbing ( it just wasn't my cup of tea here ) . I also agree the show Mad Men was sadly a disappointment for me as well . Of course if there is anyone here who does like these shows - I do not wish to offend here - it's totally cool if you enjoy these shows . All of us here have our likes and dislikes too . Thanks april221968 for your subject post .

Isn't that kind of the point of any entertainment? GoT never catered to the likes of fans, the last two seasons were nowhere near as good as the first four but I've been able to put up with it up until now because I still have a favorite character still around in the show and I enjoyed her coronation in the last episode. If she dies either by an undead bastard or a pyromaniac with flying lizards I'm calling it quits. I blame the writers for taking up the mantle and derailing from the source material. The plot isn't as strong as it was in the beginning...now it's just a predictable soap opera about a Dragon girl uniting an army of eunuchs, slaves, pirates, cowards, and murderers to take back the throne she believes is her's right.

I actually think season 6 was the best so far.
And I think the books have gotten worse since the 3rd. The last one was fairly disappointing.

Mine is Mad Men. Great and accurate period piece and great characters and cast (Especially Don+Peggy), but absolutely nothing really going on. I have seen tv shows that more happen in 1 season than the entire Mad Men seasons( all 7) combined?I have never been so bored in my life. You should only watch it if you lived during this period and know all the references, otherwise you will be lost half the time. The series finale was atrocious too. Characters and the period setpieces and references are all all this show really has. I really really wanted to like it and while some critics claim its one of the best series, others say its an overrated snoozefest. I am forced to agree with the latter. I wouldnt recommend it. Why did you sit through 7 seasons if you thought it was a boring snoozefest?

You seriously name the three greatest shows ever made. Hilarious. Yes, I also find it hilarious that people think those crappy shows are the greatest ever made. Hilarious. What shows do you like? I am dying to see what shows you find great when you find shows like these 'crappy'. Your taste has to be hilariously bad. What are they? Fuller House? Big Bang Theory? I really want to know.

"Married...With Children "-I get it that most family sitcoms were kind of syrupy sweet, but the Bundys would have had me slitting my wrists in real life after an hour. The audience always screaming didn't help matters any. I was also not too fond of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". In real life I wouldn't like the Bundys either. In real life I would much rather belong to a family like the Tanners in Full House than the Bundys, but that doesn't change the fact that Married...With Children was a much funnier show than Full House. Their character flaws made them enjoyable, and I thought the overzealous crowd was a nice touch. Didn't like "Full House" either. Overly cute, needed a barf bag to get through an episode.

I think this is kind of a tough question, at least for me, because if I don't like to show I stop watching it.
If I had to pick one, I would say The Walking Dead, although I would say no one is saying it's great at this point.

I haven't watched a second of it, but if I had to guess I would definitely say it's overrated because of what it's about. I would view it similarly as The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones. Shock the value that gets people's attention and is rated based on that rather than quality.

I was going to watch billions it looked great with at least 2 excellent actors including Paul Giamatti+ Damian Lewis( who I loved in Band of Brothers) Regarding your comment about how they are all backstabbing-isnt that the point of the show? money is power and power corrupts?

I like Billions. It is a fun show. Nothing special, but it is definitely not overrated. No one even talks about it and most people I talk to bash it.

You're 110% correct on this april221968 that is definitely the point of the show Billions . It's also a mix of - major backstabbing competition , self indulgent power , S&M , blackmail , and some cruelty in every single character on this show . As I mentioned here before - for me personally - just not my cup of tea but I still wouldn't dissuade anyone from checking out this show for him or her self here either . You may find it very entertaining and it does have it's bit of dark humor in the shows dialogue too It's also on a very corporate level all the way around as well . The only reason I even gave it a try ( and about the first 3 episodes before I folded on it ) was my husband wanted to watch it ( and I thought it would be nice to possibly watch a show both of us may like ? ) but after about 5 episodes later for him he also gave up on it too . Of course don't go by my negative output here I suggest viewing it for yourself even if it's out of curiosity or the storyline just may seem interesting to you also . Thanks april221968 for your reply .

I like Billions. It is a fun show. Nothing special, but it is definitely not overrated. No one even talks about it and most people I talk to bash it. Perhaps it seemed overrated to me here because the commercials were shown on every other channel on cable from the very beginning and now still . I'm really glad you are enjoying the Billions show there too DSDSquared ( I certainly wasn't bashing it here either - just my descriptive point of view on it ) . What's great about cable TV ( especially the pay per view channels ) there's something good for everyone and at least one or two enjoyable new shows for the TV Fan out there too . Thanks DSDSquared for your reply .
