Star Trek...pretty much any incarnation. The entire universe I could just never get into. The movies are enjoyable at face value but I havent gone out of my way to see one in quite some time.

I've put it out of my mind and can't remember a thing, outside of one character entering the living room, saying, "hi," and hearing the laugh track react uproariously for almost two minutes straight. The early episodes are fantastic and the later ones not so much.

I agree with you only with the first Star Trek. Out of 3 seasons, only about 5 or 6 episodes were really good. The rest were really dumb. But it did spark all sorts of technology we never saw before.

Firefly. It was basically the Buffy/Angel characters in space with a ridiculously literal western theme. There's a reason it only lasted 10 episodes and the movie bombed. But to hear people talk, it was The Best Show Of All Time!!11!!

Also the first couple seasons of Voyager,Enterprise and DS9 really sucked. Especially Voyager. it was really poorly made early on . It took a gorgeous former miss america contestant in a cat suit to carry the show into the 7th season. They cancelled Enterprise just when it was starting to get good.

For me its 13 reasons why The first episodes I was praising it snd thought this is the bomb, the best teen series ever but as the episodes advanced it got boring and seems like the story was just going in circles with very little interesting things happening. I was really disappointed at that series and even more because at the beginning I was enjoying it the premise was pretty good but the execution horrible. I get sooo angry when stuff like that happens. [br I am perplexed as well, its very contrived and heavy handed with its thematics as well.i still have yet to see a series perhaps outside freaks and geeks which tackle a discernible amount of topics which feel nuanced and relatable.

I loved Firefly. I didn't really hear about it until several years post cancellation tho...and it came out at a time when I first discovered alcohol and women so I didn't spend a lot of time watching tv on Friday nights.

Probably HBO could do something better, I don't what it is but Netflix turns all great premises in something boring and very slow peaced

For me it is easily hands down The Walking Dead. I know a lot of people shit on it these days yet it's still somehow one of the most watched shows on television. It's so drawn out with boring ass characters that really go no where as every damn episode is basically the same thing. They kill off a bunch of characters and I just don't get why anybody gives a shit at this point? Which one of them is even likeable? The #IfDarylDiesWeRiot just makes me laugh. It's gotten to the point where I hope he does die just so I can watch Twitter go into an uproar. I just don't get the appeal of that show at all yet it's so damn popular it has an hour long show right after it simply to discuss the f'ing episode.

I'd also throw The Simpsons in there too. How the hell has that show stayed on this long?

It is vastly overrated in that it is nothing special, but it's not terrible. The Daryl love is ridiculous though. I think he had two lines this past season. He is a worthless character.

Game of Thrones; that's pretty much the gold standard for overrated, especially considering how popular it is. i stopped watching it a while ago. it's got some interesting characters, ill give it at least that much, but overall it's nothing special like it's made out to be.
i would also say The Wire gets too much credit, but at least it's still one of the better shows i have seen. but i will say it lost some of it's appeal(was a 7.5-8/10 on initial viewing and dropped to a 7/10) for me on a re-watch between Aug 2015-June 2016, which was my second viewing of the show.
i might be able to list some more but i won't for now.
p.s. hell, i would say there is more overrated shows than not in general as very few are of any real worth as i judge TV shows based on movie quality level and in that regard there are not many that stand out to any high degree. in fact, from what i have seen you got two 10/10's, one 7.5-8/10, some 7/10's and after that it's largely forgettable. i wonder how the masses can watch most of that crap on the major networks as it's pretty safe to say the vast majority i would lose interest in fast as when it comes to TV i would say, outside of a handful or shows or something like that, i largely watch reality show variations as i feel TV in general is better suited for that kind of stuff than it is trying to make quality shows that can rival high quality movies. with that said... i am sure there is still more TV shows i have not seen that would be quality for me but i tend to be much more selective on what ill watch when it come so general TV shows because of how much time it burns up as a typical movie only burns up a couple hours of your time where as a TV show burns up many hours.

Game of Thrones is the most overrated "art" I have ever seen in my life.
Every storyline basically boils down to what new ways will horribly evil character A find to backstab morally bankrupt character B. And all the background and plot is delivered through completely needless sex and gore. The critical and popular praise for it is just evidence of how degraded society has become.
