"...An updated listing on Average Socialite, a platform monitoring events in and around Hollywood, the Ryan Coogler sequel will no longer debut on its previous premiere date of November 1st. Instead, Marvel Studios has bumped the world premiere up a full week. Now, Wakanda Forever is set to have its premiere on Tuesday, October 25th, two-and-a-half weeks before the film enters theaters."

I still think it's going to be Nakia Has to be someone from the Panther tribe, Nakia was noted as being from the Water Tribe in the first movie. Could theoretically be Okoye I did not know that about the group the person came from. Wow. I've heard some people suggest Okoye- that'd made more sense than some others I've seen (Such as a brand new character being introduced, just to be the Black Panther)

Ryan Coogler has revealed that the Marvel sequel will begin with a time jump:
“Ramonda realizes that it’s been a year since T’Challa’s passing and Shuri’s still not healing—she’s not taking steps to move forward in a healthy way. They take a retreat—stepping away from the city, from the technology—to sit with no distractions and perform what is essentially a grief ritual. That’s when Namor shows up.”

From producer Nate Moore:
“I don’t know if anything about it was an easy decision. But it was a decision that, once made, we all believed in, and it led us on a path forward.
“I could not imagine turning to the best young actor in the world who wasn’t Chadwick, and being like, ‘OK, so you’re T’Challa.’ I could not, and cannot, imagine that. I really couldn’t. Other people will have a different answer to that question. And we’re very aware of the talkback, and how people feel. And I think all of that, to be quite honest, is fair. Everybody’s going to have a different opinion. I can just say, after being in it, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t get there."

The Academy-Award-winning costume creator, who also helmed the costume designs in the original film, has explained the significance behind the decision. “In the Ancestral Plane, when T’Challa wakes up and sees his father, he’s wearing white,” Carter said in an interview with Variety. “White is a color that’s worn in a lot of funerals in Africa — it’s either bright red or it’s white — and we chose white because it connects us to Chadwick, to T’Challa.”

This will be a pivotal movie for the MCU. Thor 4, Ms Marvel and She Hulk were a one, two, three punch of mediocrity and cringe. Phase Four needs some quality entries and it needs them quick.

"...Disney has confirmed that it will release Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in French theaters on November 9. A question mark had been hanging over whether the movie would go to cinemas given France’s antiquated windowing system that puts, in Disney’s case, an initial 17-month lag between when a film hits theaters and when it can head to Disney Plus in the market. The media chronology was updated in January this year and there have recently been discussions with industry professionals on a plan going forward."

Since the MCU significantly rose in popularity following The Avengers, members of the film community have debated the art of these massive tent pole films and how they affect the quality of cinema. Following the release of the MCU's highest-grossing entry, Avengers: Endgame, legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese stated that superhero movies were not real cinema and likened them to theme park rides. The director later clarified his comments, but the damage was already done with the debate quickly spreading throughout the media. RELATED: Why The Fake War Between Martin Scorsese & Marvel Is So Dumb In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nyong'o shares her thoughts on how Marvel's superhero films affect the industry. She finds that if certain media resonates with an audience to generous degrees, then that media should be recognized as something significant. Read what Nyong'o says below: "It becomes a philosophical question about what is art and what is its purpose. I believe that art plays a role in moving the people that experience it, and a lot of people are moved by Marvel. Is you being moved by this thing less important than me being moved by Picasso? "I think to be culturally prosperous, to be artistically prosperous as a people, is to have options. In Kenya, sugar was sugar, it was brown or it was white. You come to the [United States], and a whole section in the supermarket is dedicated to sugars. So many different sugars. That is a symbol of prosperity, when you have options. So I personally love a good Marvel movie, but it doesn’t take me away from really wanting the little character-driven film. I believe in the fight for those things to be kept alive because the one thing we always want, the ultimate privilege, is choice.” screenrant.com/marvel-movies-industry-debate-lupita-nyongo-response/

I appreciate all the work you put into this stuff, however I must take my leave of this board for the next week until I've seen it. I love to go in flying blind.
