It's enjoyable and definitely a much better direction for DC, I'm even interested in what they do with a sequel for it.
But if you think Wonder Woman is better than even the early MCU films like First Avenger, I would challenge you to explain that. To me First Avenger is easily the better film, and I don't see anything about Wonder Woman that exceeds it in any way, but I would love the challenge of debating that stance.

Actually i really like the First Avenger and the Cap America trilogy(minus the airport scene), and i think it has just the right amount of levity and seriousness just like WW. So, in that regard i like it as much as Wonderwoman. But other than my top 3 MCU movies and First Avenger i like Wonderwoman more. But just to get on the discussion: i like the action scenes in WW better than those in First Avenger

I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet but I'm expecting it to be better than the First Avenger because I wasn't a fan of that film.

Can you form your own opinions?
Almost all of these ideals were either present in First Avenger or done equally well. I'm not sure that showing the horrors of war is something that defines it as better really, and the twist of Wonder Woman didn't work any better than any twist in the CA series. Frankly I'd say it's more of a problem for the film. Also how is "motivated by emotions" a good thing? That's usually when you start making terrible decisions. This article says it's about love, as though FA wasn't. Several of these points like that one don't really have any meaning, such as the one about it being a self contained story. Is that supposed to be better? And "grounded fight sequences"? That's a joke right? Her lassoing enemies left and right and jumping to the top of a bell tower was more grounded than First Avenger. Really?

Well let's start with WW RT score...it stands at 93%, The First Avenger has an 80%....so that is better. Also Wonder Woman opening weekend...domestic total was 103 M...while The First Avenger only made 65 M...so that is better. Those are just facts right there. The rest would be my opinion. Some of you guys seem to confuse the two. But yeah WW...is definitely better.

What about the movie itself is better?

why, let's start with: Wonder Women does not have freaking LASER BATTLES in a WW II scenario (!!!). Jeez, I do not think you can spell out infantilization and trivilization more unambiguously than that.

You're referring to the cosmic cube powered weapons. I'm not seeing the problem, it was clearly explained, or is wonder woman better than raiders of the lost ark just because they had a super powered casket in that movie?

Haven't seen WW yet,but First Avenger IMO is underrated and underappreciated. I didn't care for it too much at first but I enjoyed after multiple viewings. Its one of my faves.
A lot of comic book movies have been disappointing lately, I am not expecting Much

You're referring to the cosmic cube powered weapons. I'm not seeing the problem, it was clearly explained, lol, "cosmic cube powered weapons", that makes it sound better. That's the problem with fanboyism or any fanatism, it makes you lose nuance, taste and common sense. If they used glowing dildos and neon anal beads for warfare, and it was "properly explained" and named (interstellar combat joysticks?), you would not see a problem either. But in the end that is exactly what trivialization and infantilization of a WW II scenario means. Nice deflection. I do not care for that ark of the convenat scene either, but it's not about doing laser battles in WWII; the cheesy special effects were to demonstrate god punishing the Nazis. But making fun of this literal deus ex machina scene and the Indy dilemma has become a running gag.

CATFA was a solid flick but for some reason I just found it kinda boring. I'd say CATFA was a tighter movie and had less issues than WW but it just didn't have the oomph that WW has. So yeah, I'd put WW above it.
It's the same way I compare CATFA with the first Thor movie. Thor had lower lows but it also had higher highs, and in the end I found Thor more interesting than CATFA.

So you're ashamed of comic books then.
