I need a Memento type tattoo to remind me to never pick Kentucky again. I had them beating UConn in the Championship and my bracket is cheeks day one. They won me money years ago when I picked them so I tend to remember that more so than remembering that they get knocked out early in more recent years. I get the feeling I will forget this come next year all over again.

Colorado looks like the 80's Celtics, can do no wrong against a Florida team that isn't playing that badly
Mother of God, this might be the best NCAA game I've ever seen.

And two more SEC teams go down. Auburn loses to Yale. Never fuck with the Ivy in the first round

Washington State is a gritty team. San Diego St. just survived a tough Alabama Birmingham team to advance. They made their free throws. I like Washington St. They finished second in the Pac 12. SDSU turned UAB over a lot but was too cavalier with the ball once they did so. Play Yale next. Feels like the year that I was happy that they got Florida Gulf Coast in round two and didn't see round three.

Remember that those play-in teams/conference championship game winners are on a roll.

Excellent tourney thus far. Exciting games, many close results, very little whining... it's good for the sport.

I was so disgusted by Kentucky that I did not watch a game yesterday. May get back to it today.

DJ Burns: "I would say I watched a lot of Hakeem Olajuwon growing up. And I just happened to end up with a Zach Randolph build."

The Oregon-Creighton game last night was exciting until the 2nd OT when Creighton ran away with the score.

You weirdos who watch the NBA can correct me, but Zach Edey will never make an NBA team. He just moves like a glacier sometimes. He is amazing at what he does. I also think some of the great NCAA big men, Ewing, Olajuwon, Leattner, Zion, Shaq would have eaten him for lunch

But he won't last. Guys like him have no value in today's NBA game.

Is Obi Toppin doing anything? He was a first round pick, anyway

Not much. It wasn't unheard of in eras past for Player of the Year winners to not make much impact in the NBA, but now it's a regular occurrence. You dominate college basketball by impacting the game in a myriad of ways. The NBA is just ten guys jogging up and down the court shooting threes for 48 minutes now. No physicality, no artistry, no creativity. It's a shit product.

I don't think I've watched an NBA game since the Buffalo Braves moved to San Diego. The NBA has no defense and no passion. It kills me that every great player ends up either with the Lakers or Celtics.

Looking back on the Wooden winner list, it does seem to be hit and miss. For every Bird, Jordan, David Robinson, Sean Elliott, Tim Duncan, there's a Phil Ford, Walter Berry, Kenyon Martin. But even the ones who aren't in the HOF still had pro careers. Even Tyler Hansbrough and Frank Kaminsky had a few years.
