The NCAA needs to stick the 9:20 tipoff up their ass Yeah, I've hated it. These kids shouldn't be playing the most important game of their lives at midnight.

Great opening minutes. Refs letting them play, both teams playing their game. If this continues, it could be one of the best championship games ever.

UConn dismantles a very, very good Purdue team. Three losses, a two point loss to Kansas at Allen. An inexplicable 15 point loss to Seton Hall on the road and a nine point loss to Creighton in a classic letdown game after they flattened Marquette. They ran over the NCAA like Secretariat ran over the 1973 Belmont Field, "like a tremendous machine"

Thought it'd be a closer game. Oh well.

Congrats to UConn for winning their second consecutive Men's Basketball championship. I would have loved to see Zach Edey win it as he is Canadian. But, I get you can't have it all. One other takeaway from this was when Edey met Shaquille O'Neal. Edey probably looked up to Shaq when Edey was growing up. In the clip that I saw, Shaq looked up to Edey as Edey is just a little bit taller than Shaq. Joker's Wilde

Wish we could have gave UConn a bigger run for their money, but just wasn't meant to be. UConn's gameplan was great - give Edey whatever he wants 1 on 1, take everything else away. Purdue 1 for 7 from 3, when they shot over 40% for the year. Couldn't even get a shot off, because UConn's guards were so much bigger and more athletic. 2 of those 3's attempted were blocked. Purdue's defense was pretty atrocious. Open layups, open 3's - it didn't feel like UConn had to work to score. Also probably our worst rebounding game of the year. We hadn't been outrebounded like that since February 2023 - credit UConn, but at the same time, just poor play by Purdue. Still had a blast, and an absolutely incredible season after all the mockery Purdue has been in the tournament for the last 4 years. Glad I went to witness it all. Boiler up
