We'd hear it from someone we're meant to sympathize with, not a Strawman. IE, show us mutant criminals who revel in their powers and terrorize normal humans just because they can. By that logic, Martin Luther King Jr should've just gotten into secret brawls with the Black Panthers instead of putting himself and his message out there. Xavier cloisters kids up (after lying to their parents so he can get them there) because he's into segregation. He's conceited because he does nothing proactive and is fine with that. Internal conflict is good. Shows the X-Men wouldn't all agree on Xavier's segregation/Secret Cult attitude. Which is what the comics have done plenty of times. Like when the New Mutants rebelled and became X-Force, or when Cyclops kicked Xavier out of the Mansion. An MCU X-Men might give us something cool like the Collector kidnapping Mutants for his Collection or the Grandmaster making them gladiators in his contests. Or Hell, something like Magneto seemingly being unbeatable and having triumphed over everyone...then all of a sudden Ghost Rider shows up in reaction to Magneto's crimes and effortlessly roasts him with Hellfire.
Annnd, this is why you don't work for Disney or Fox. Innit? Hey, if GR can show up and take down Galactus he can do the same to Magneto.

show us mutant criminals who revel in their powers and terrorize normal humans just because they can. Nightcrawlers attack on the president is a public display of mutant terrorism. And it just HAD to be because a human was manipulating him instead of a proper mutant psychopath reveling in his powers. Challenging Xaviers authority has been covered.[/quote] Not well enough. I'm talking Cyclops and Storm challenging him and remaining X-Men. As well as the X-Men challenging one another on their personal stances and everything. Make them more than Xavier's braindead-loyal students.

He isn't just taking the piss. This is the guy who restarted all the MCU vs. DC fighting single-handedly months and months ago, and he's never let up, even once, since then. Wait, why does he get all the credit for that? I helped! ... er, wait a minute... Eh, maybe a bit at first, but after that it was mostly all in good fun. Though you have taken some of your jokes a bit too far.

^SensitiveRaptor ^ButthurtRaptor I just wanted to say this: The two of you would make for a cute couple, not sure who would be the top or bottom, but I definitely want the two of you to hook up. I'd imagine there would be some hot passionate sex, maybe a marvel vs DC argument to get the juice's flowing? From this day forward I ship weirdraptor and dennisreynold!!! Right. Shipping real people is a thing that happens. However, I think the fanbase Daniel RadcliffexTom Felton has puts DennisxWeird to shame.

Homecoming might have been the best SM movie. It was easily the best since the first 2. Its the worst since Spidey 3. ASM is the best Since 2. Btw there is no point in Spidey being in the mcu he is now isolated from most of his characters. He needs to be in amd only in the Sony verse to fight Hardys Venom Agreed. Homecoming is the worst Spider-Man movie ever made.
SMH's shallow and uninspiring portrayal of Spider-Man's motivations make SMH the worst movie adaptation of Spider-Man ever. Without outright mentioning Uncle Ben's death, Peter being Spider-Man is reduced to a simple show-off. There's nothing driving him other than wanting to look cool and impress Tony Stark - and that's a shallow reason which betrays his true comic origins.
Superman is shown by Jor-El how he can unite the human and Kryptonian species and bring hope to Earth. Batman is driven by the death of his parents and vows to do everything in his power to stop crime in Gotham. Wonder Woman feels that it's her duty to end war and bring peace to Mankind.
Those are noble reasons which are inspiring. Spider-Man is in 1 of the 4 most iconic comic-book superheroes along with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. But his motivation for being Spider-Man in Homecoming isn't because he believes he has a "great responsibility" to use his powers for good (as he learned from his failure to prevent Uncle Ben's death when he could've) but simply because he's hoping to get a reply from Happy Hogan.

And that would make it another Spider-Man origin film, and people are sick of those.

If you have difficulty in working out the motives of film characters, understanding how stories do not have to be a copy of it's predecessor, or realising ever character is different, I'd stop watching movies if I were you.

And it just HAD to be because a human was manipulating him instead of a proper mutant psychopath reveling in his powers. Doesn't matter, it still shows how mutants could easily break into the most secure office in the world at ease at their own will or not. They are dangerous weapons and their abilities are too dangerous for normal humans not to at least fear. And Magneto in X1 trashses cop cars and holds police to standoff single handledly and Shaw roasts the CIA facility with his hellfire club members and attempts to initiate WW3. The conflicts shown in X-films make more sense and are more thematically engaging than in the MCU. In The Avengers, Hawkeye is mind controlled - a cheap trick and Hulk destroys the Helicarrier and fights Thor yet without any legitmate reason is working with the Avengers at the end. Age of Ultron is more mind control to make them fight each other and the whole airport battle whilst visually cool doesnt make much sense if you break it down. The students arent all brain dead loyalists. Scott and Storm in the films admitingly dont get much backstory development (which will change in Dark Phoenix). But as I said before, Mistique and others leave him in First Class. Logan flips at Xaviers attempt to control him by not telling him his past in X2 to try and protect him by leading him on a wild goose chasr to Alkali Lake. Logan also blasts Xavier at his failed attempt to keep Jean in check by applying psychic locks to supress her inner unbalance which eventually manifests into the Phoenix in X3. Xavier in all the films is shown as a control freak which is a flaw in his character and people have challenged him. Its just not spoonfed.

Doesn't matter, it still shows how mutants could easily break into the most secure office in the world at ease at their own will or not. It does matter. Having mutants do that of their own free will, and do it unprovoked, shows Humans had legitimate fears. Having it be because he was brainwashed by an Army Conspiracy just makes mutants victims. Nope, it's just Xavier and Magneto's same old dance. That's Hulks character, he's a violent force that only does good because Banner is able to direct him at the right enemies and he doesn't always pull it off. Steve and Tony's conflict with one another was a LOT more satisfying than Xavier and Magnetos because it's not as one-note. Which leaves them as braindead loyalists. 17 years too late. They left him to join murderous terrorists, you'd have to be an idiot to sympathize with that. Nothing comes of it. Nothing comes of it. And he never learns nor does the series treat him as anything but the benevolent Mutant Messiah. At least MCU makes it clear Tony Stark is a flawed man the whole way through and has him suffer for his actions. If they wanted Xavier to suffer, they'd have him be kicked out of the X-Men and the Mansion.

Nor do we need to see the Waynes shot again and again and again. What matters is Peter and his adventures.

We don't need to SEE those things but either one should at least be referenced explicitly in any "first movie" of a reboot. What you're suggesting is that everyone in 2017 knows that so it's not worth making a movie that will stand the test of time as opposed to being a faddish turd nobody will care about in ten years. That's why the MCU is full of quips and pithiness instead of import, because they know that's what the dumber half of the moviegoing public wants. That's you, Sammy!

They just don't hit you over the head with it the way DC does with the Waynes.

They just don't hit you over the head with it the way DC does with the Waynes. That's a pretty oblique, throwaway line and a stretch even for you. (Not a stretch that the line refers to uncle Ben's death, but that a throwaway line for "those in the know" suffices for or meets the bare minimum requirements of what I'm talking about.) They literally never mention "Ben Parker" by name, not even once, ever at all? That's... piss-poor filmmaking, brah.
